𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐬🦹♂️ Every time, I wonder what else 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 can come up with to make money. And every time I am 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬. I came across different cases and my heart was torn apart for the people who fell for the scammers' tricks. Here is a 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 of the latest case that was shared with me by my colleague who saw the 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐤 𝐓𝐨𝐤: After graduating from university, a girl was looking for a job. A company contacted her and offered her a job. After many rejections, the girl finally believed in a miracle. The hiring process was super easy and she finally got a cool offer from an "international company". The company was registered on Linkedin (there were a lot of people who worked for this company, no suspicions arose). She received an offer and a contract. She was hired. They said they would provide the equipment needed to work (laptop, equipment, etc.). An option was offered: sell her old equipment and pay extra to buy a new one. She agreed. After discussing the delivery of equipment (attention! for the purchase of equipment asked to transfer money somewhere supposedly there will be cheaper. Well, and of course the delivery will be the next day and blah blah blah). Of course, after the money was charged and no one answered her anymore. I'm attaching the video:https://lnkd.in/dSYvxK2c Dear job seekers, 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥! Don't get desperate, it's better to check the company that gave you the offer 100 times. And never send money before signing the NDA and other documents. Hope this helps you!

We recently learned that someone was impersonating us at Yoko Consulting (we're flattered 😊) in their attempt to run an employment scam (less flattered 😠). From what we can tell, they reached out to hundreds (maybe thousands) of people and invited them to interview with "us." Turns out this is a very common scam - if you're company is being impersonated, we wrote a quick guide "How to Stop Employment Scams Impersonating Your Company or Organization" to help others know what to do if they find themselves in the same situation we did. Hope it helps someone! https://lnkd.in/eaaSKtsr

Beware scammers on LinkedIn posing as recruiters! “To spot these scams, know that honest employers will never ask you to pay upfront fees for a job or for equipment. And they won’t ask you to pay them using cash, Zelle or PayPal. Anyone who does is a scammer. “To avoid these scams, never give out personal information before doing some research. Contact the company directly using a phone number you know to be legitimate — not one you got from the “recruiter.” Or go to the company’s website. If you can’t confirm the job is real, it could be a scam.” #linkedin #scamalert #jobhunting #fraud #recruiters

Hello everyone, I don't generally post on LinkedIn but something happened recently which compelled me to. 🚨 **Beware of Fraudulent Agencies!** 🚨 We began working with an agency E Vanijya Briddhi Pvt Ltd in February 2024, and by the end of June, they had taken our money and ghosted us. Their work ethics have compelled me to take to a public platform to report them. The staff lacks the skills to work or communicate effectively with clients. They refuse to understand client needs and get very offended when it's pointed out that they are not doing their job. Despite their stern claims of not being fraudulent, they have made no effort to fulfill their commitments. They are all talk and no action. They are perpetually "busy" but never available to pick up calls, return calls, or respond to emails or messages. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I urge everyone to be cautious and do thorough research before engaging with any agency. #FraudAlert #AgencyIssues #ClientExperience #BusinessEthics #StayAlert Vikash Kumar Ravi

Beware of Scammers! 🚨 It has come to my attention that there are scammers posing as legitimate employers on social media, offering work-from-home opportunities and asking job seekers to contact them on WhatsApp. These scammers are preying on individuals looking for employment by luring them with enticing job offers. Once in contact, these scammers ask job seekers to sign a contract, which includes a clause stating that if the individual does not perform at 90% efficiency, they will be subjected to a fine. However, this is just the beginning of their deceitful tactics. After signing the contract, the scammers' fake lawyer begins sending fake legal notices, demanding money from the unsuspecting victims. This is a despicable and manipulative scheme that preys on people's desperation for work. It is crucial to remain vigilant and cautious when engaging with potential employers online. Always research the company thoroughly and be wary of any requests for personal information or money upfront. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Let's spread awareness and protect our fellow job seekers from falling victim to these fraudulent practices. #ScamAlert #JobSeekersBeware

“𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!!” Isn’t this what delights us when we read this? Definitely but what I’m going to tell you now isn’t to scare you but just to make you aware so that you don’t fall for this scam! So, this is what happened to someone that I personally know where he received a message like this and he was told to register and pay for an interview! Yess, you read that right. He was asked to 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 to make sure that genuine interested candidates only apply and there is no wastage of time of the organisation. When he deposited the money, he was told that he has deposited the wrong amount and he has to transfer more in order to book a slot to get interviewed. On paying that he was lured into paying an amount of 40000 under the table to get instant appointment letter. That’s when he realised and called me and explained as to what happened. He was scammed and didn’t get any reverts post that. In short, just want to let all of 𝐦𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝𝐈𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐧𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬. I understand the desperation to get a job and to start earning but that’s what lures scammers and fraudulent people into such activities and allows them to take advantage of that desperation. Make your CV strong and apply in places suitable for you and beware of such scammers. #Fraud #Scam #scamalert #Growth #Job #Success #charteredaccountant #CA #Scamprevention #CASharangMehtani
