Our #multipayer #OptumAcuteCareatHome, aka hospital-at-home program, has already increased hospital capacity in Snohomish county, just in time for the tridemic (RSV, flu, COVID) season and allow more surgeries and medical patients that require brick-and-mortar hospital stays. Given the increased joy in delivering continuity of care in primary care, it is nice when what appears obvious is defended by science. But it is mixed with a feeling of despair...what can be done to our health-systems to enable this?
