The Predicament of Experience: A Barrier for Fresh Graduates or Postgraduates Fresh graduates or Postgraduates faces a daunting challenge when entering the job market: the requirement for experience. While organizations seek candidates with practical skills and industry know-how, many entry-level positions demand prior experience, creating a significant barrier for those just starting their careers. This situation perpetuates a cycle where fresh graduates or postgraduates struggle to secure employment, hindering their professional growth and contributing to unemployment rates among young professionals. Causes: Employer Expectations: Companies increasingly prioritize candidates with proven experience to minimize onboarding time and ensure immediate productivity. This preference leads them to overlook fresh graduates, despite their potential and willingness to learn. Lack of Entry-Level Opportunities: Entry-level positions often require prior experience, shutting out fresh graduates who lack a formal work history. This scarcity of entry-level roles exacerbates the challenge of gaining initial experience. Limited Support Systems: Many organizations lack structured programs or initiatives aimed at supporting fresh graduates in gaining the necessary experience. Without mentorship, internships, or training opportunities, young professionals struggle to bridge the experience gap. Effects: Unemployment Among Graduates: The insistence on experience for entry-level roles contributes to high rates of unemployment among fresh graduates. Unable to meet the demands of employers, many find themselves trapped in a cycle of job rejections and limited career prospects. Stagnation of Talent Pool: By prioritizing experience over potential, organizations miss out on diverse perspectives and innovative ideas that fresh graduates can offer. This narrow focus on experience limits the growth and dynamism of the workforce. Lack of expectation and Demotivation: Constant rejection and lack of opportunities can demoralize fresh graduates, eroding their confidence and enthusiasm. This disillusionment may lead to long-term disengagement from the job market or settling for positions unrelated to their field of study. STRATEGY FOR SECURING A JOB AS A FRESHER.. It is always a hope and wish for everyone to work for a very bigger company, I remember my time during tertiary level my wish was to work for a bigger company like First Quantum Minerals,Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) ,KCM, RDA….just to mention a few. Upon completion of my tertiary level my hope directed me straight to the mentioned institution dropping application and all sort of email, in response I received unfortunate messages of regret. I sat down to question my qualifications and I quickly realized that as a fresher and new graduate chances are sometimes equal to zero to be picked for these big companies but more chances are in small companies. Sometimes favor works by understanding your area of limitations and experience. As a fresh graduate channel your interest more in the small companies to gain more chances of job security. What are the advantages of working for a small companies as a fresher?? - Greater involvement in the company: Smaller companies allow for more involvement in the decision-making process and the running of the business. - Welcome to innovative ideas: Smaller companies are more likely to take on board new ideas and solutions. - Close-knit company culture: Smaller companies allow for easier bonding with colleagues and a more relaxed office environment. - Faster career progression: Roles and responsibilities are given out more quickly and easily in smaller companies, allowing for faster career progression. - Direct access to decision makers: There are fewer layers of management in smaller companies, allowing for easier access to CEOs and business owners. - Workplace flexibility: Smaller companies are more likely to offer flexible work arrangements. - Self-discovery: Smaller companies offer a multitude of tasks, allowing for the discovery of unknown strengths and talents. Smaller companies is a goal for fresh graduates 🎓

💰👩💻🌍Addressing the Financial Realities Faced by Fresh Engineering Graduates in the IT Sector Hey everyone! 👋 Graduating from engineering school and entering the working world is an exciting adventure. However, reality might be very different from what we expect. Despite their hard work and devotion, many recent engineering graduates face financial issues when they begin their jobs in the IT field. 💸 The typical beginning salary for an engineering graduate at an IT business is around 3.6 LPA, with roughly 25,000 take-home pay per month, assuming we are optimistic. 🤞 This sum, however, frequently falls short when compared to the costs of living in metro centres, where the majority of IT firms are based. When freshers move to these bustling metropolitan hubs, they face a slew of costs, including housing, food, transportation, maintaining a particular quality of life, repaying university debts, and entertainment, among others. 🏙️🍔🚗 Despite the joy of beginning a new chapter in their life, the financial burden can rapidly become crushing.😅💼💡 A hilarious video spreading on social media portrays the transition that many new employees go through after six months of negotiating these financial issues. While humorous to watch, it serves as an important reminder of the harsh reality that many young professionals endure when they join the industry.🤝💡 As we laugh along with the film, let us also think on the problems that new employees face and consider how we might help them on their path to financial security and professional success. #FreshersReality #CareerJourney #FinancialChallenges #HelpingFreshers
