In honor of Juneteenth, our BLACK@Gap Inc. Equality & Belonging Group hosted a summer cookout to celebrate Black culture and all that Juneteenth stands for – freedom, resilience and societal contributions. Employees were able to honor and connect with Black heritage through food, music, activities, art and a powerful reading from Oakland Youth Poet Laureate, Nairobi Barnes. Happy Juneteenth to all! #GapInc #Juneteenth

What a GREAT event!!

This looks like a beautiful, inclusive event to learn about and celebrate our Day of Emancipation. It is a wonderful day for everyone because it is the day that freed all Americans. "July 4th freed the land and June 19th freed the people" - Opal Lee
