Today we’re excited to announce the newest version of Framework Laptop 13 with the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 1 processors, an optional 13.5” 2880x1920 120 Hz display on both Intel and AMD systems, a new webcam with 9.2MP image sensor, and configurations designed for businesses and professionals with a 3-year warranty. Pre-orders are open now, with shipments starting this August. These are available in all 14 countries we’re currently in, and we’ll be launching in Sweden, Finland, and Denmark this June. We’ve also permanently reduced the prices of our Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen 7040 Series) systems, making them more accessible than ever. There are a number of competing visions for what the future of computing should be. Ours is one that is grounded in the belief that when we make a computer, it isn’t ours. It’s yours. We can’t wait to build this future with you. https://frame.work/

A 100% reusable or recyclable laptop or PC is what we need. Just considering the last 10 years I have acculated 5 laptop, 6 cell phones and 4 tables. It's a shame all companies don't take on responsibility and get all their electronics back as a trade in and then, most important thing, recover and reuse all parts still working properly. Few attempts got done such as Samsung trade in program or Apple iphone disassembling lines to recover electronic components, but in my opinion we are way far from what we should be. A laptop fully updatable is the frontier. Frame goes in that direction but we are more on reusable than recyclable. Just my modest opinion.

Great news! Is it safe to assume you will launch nordic keyboards at the same time, or will that still be DIY for a while?

It's been ages ago that I've seen the first efforts to let modular notebooks enter the PC market, but it never happened even in a minimal significative way, so far; the only systems I know about being regularly used in a working commercial way and which have been close to that ideal are Clevo's, used by many OEMs to assemble their own lines of laptops, and I personally upgraded the graphics hw subsystem on some of them using MMX modules, but it's always a too tough way to do that, because of lacking of proper commercial lines and practical standards for those architectures. Let's hope this might be the right time, and making it available to OEMs too will be a winning move, in my humble opinion. P.S.: same future for smartphones seems to have appeared as a solid reality

Any chance of an option for a touchpad with actual buttons? I hate this new trend of press anywhere and hope you are on the left or right side.

Just got my Framework 16 in the mail and can't wait to get it set up. So glad to support a tech company that actively strives for repairability and open design. Something we direly need in this time of massive ewaste.
