BAs are great at turning nonsense into some sense when it comes to requirements, objectives and actual things developers can make. Lets think about replacing "Why do you want to work here" during the application with "What is your ideal role" *company or *environment. If I asked you right out the gate during our 1st conversation, "why should I want to work here". You would likely be taken a back. My immediate response (as the recruiter) would be, that is the purpose of this call, etc etc. IT DOES not fit any better during application process for the candidate. If you are getting a lot applications, then open ended questions have no place. The application should be a series of qualifying questions to automate the top of funnel process. Get the candidates that are good with the compensation, location, job, company size, environment/pace, title etc. through the process.

So ya...lots going on!!
