Here is the Volunteer Spotlight for June, Financial Coach Pedro Paredes. Pedro has gone above and beyond as a volunteer in our Financial Coaching program! He became a Financial Coach after volunteering with the Tax Help program for years. This year, Pedro combined his coaching talents and tax preparation skills for our Get Ready appointments which helped self-employed community members get their income and expenses organized before getting their taxes prepared. Pedro also facilitated a financial wellness workshop as a first year coach! Pedro says, "I volunteer is because I’ve been helped in my life by individuals that have more experience than me, and I have always appreciated them saving me time and energy. I hope that in our community of Austin, I’ve been able to help them be more successful based on what others have shared with me.” Join us in thanking Pedro for his outstanding work as a cross program volunteer!

Please pass this on to others… Several States have, or are, enacting laws to minimize inclusion as a tool to provide a hand-up. These actions will mostly affect those in disadvantaged socio-economic locations such as urban and rural America. The PathWays Institute is a nonprofit with no political affiliation. Our only mission is to enhance the well-being of individuals in underserved communities through education and training in vital areas such as workforce development, financial literacy, health education, and connection to resources. This not only benefits those who receive free education and training but also increases the safety and prosperity of our entire society. We cannot do this alone. We are asking for your help by contributing whatever you can through our website on a one-time or recurring basis. Furthermore, your gifts are tax-deductible under IRS Section 170. You can verify our status as a tax-exempt organization using the IRS search tool at https://lnkd.in/ehauPsUE. Our Employer Identification Number (EIN) is 93-4977411. We will put your contribution into action. Collectively, we will make a difference! Sincerely, Phil Claybrooke https://www.path-ways.org/

Today I had the honour of volunteering for Skills 4 Bills with Cabot Credit Management, teaching primary school children the importance of money management, with an insight into the consequences of poor financial choices and subsequent indebtedness. This was an eye opening experience, not just for me, but for the children too. Katy Camp Cliff Ellis Lucy Shephard #moneymanagment #skills4bills #cabotcreditmanagement #financialeducation
