The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI) As the national benchmarking tool measuring policies, practices and benefits pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) employees, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index is a primary driving force for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion. Data from the CEI tells the story of over two decades of year-over-year growth in the adoption of these critical policies and practices indicative of employers' commitment to equality. The CEI survey advances workplace equality by scoring 4 pillars for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion; workforce protections, inclusive benefits, supporting an inclusive culture, and corporate social responsibility. We’re named a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality”—again! For the fifth year in a row, we’re proud to share that we’ve received a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) 2023 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. Symbotic is proud to share its first-time rating on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s assessment of LGBTQ+ workplace equality. We received a score of 95 out of 100 on the 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. “For well over two decades, businesses have played an important role in furthering LGBTQ+ equality by centering employee needs and voices when it comes to workplace inclusion,” said RaShawn “Shawnie” Hawkins, Human Rights Campaign Sr Director of Workplace Equality. “The CEI is an ever-evolving tool – a blueprint that companies can use to show up more effectively in supporting their LGBTQ+ employees and their families.” We know there is always more work to be done and we strive to not only meet all the standards outlined by the Human Rights Campaign – but pave the way for what full equality in the workplace should look like. #CEI2023

So incredible to see the quality of this data and report year after year.

Last month, Randstad shared their findings of their Workmonitor Pulse Survey which obtained the views of more than 2,000 LGBT+ employees globally. These were based around equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives and policies at work. Based on their findings, they recommended three ways in which employers can help improve LGBT+ inclusion in the workplace: · “Empower employee-driven groups and ensure that all initiatives are grounded in the real experience of employees” · “Instil a culture of respect and empathy that recognises and respects the diverse range of experiences LGBTQ+ workers, rather than perceiving them as “others” or defining them solely by their gender or sexual orientation” · “Promote ‘authentic allyship’ throughout the year, not only during Pride Month.” To see jobs with inclusive employers, please visit: lgbtjobs.co.uk
