I’ve recently tried to analyse my most joyful client meetings.
You know, the ones where you walk away thinking, “wow, what great people. We had a strong connection and I’m exited for the opportunity to work with them.”
I wanted to understand why.
At first I thought it was to do with my preparedness, my confidence and my growth.
Yes. In part. But there was something else.
They have all had one thing in common.
They’ve all been family-owned and managed.
Some with under £1m turnover p/a.
Some with over £50m turnover p/a.
They’ve all been ambitious, successful, passionate companies lead by fathers and sons, husbands and wives, partners, siblings and in-laws who are all building inspiring businesses together.
These are my kind of people and my kind of clients.
It’s because I get it.
I get how achingly important this stuff is.
On top of my 10+ years working for one of the largest advertising networks in the world, I’ve also started and grown two of my own businesses with my husband Ben Mulroney.
I’ve even roped my talented and amazing parents over the years! (pictured) ⬇️
I GET the obsession, energy and determination it takes to build a business from scratch.
I GET the commitment, sacrifice and struggle it takes when you feel like all you’re doing is peddling up hill.
I GET the strains and difficulties your constant efforts can have on your relationship.
I GET the passion and excitement when you just KNOW you have something that is of benefit and of value.
I GET the fizzy feeling when you win your first paid client. And when you sell your first item. And then your second…
But I also know that having a partner you trust more than anything is critical, and you wouldn’t change it for the world.
At Mulroney Creative Consultancy it’s a family affair and I proudly state to everyone I meet “we are as passionate about your business as you are.”
Huge shout out to my amazing family businesses followers.
You’re my kind of people!
