The #PMPLSouthAsiaChampionship (SAC) becomes more interesting as 3 Pakistani teams bow out in the league stage, leaving margins thinner than ever before.
The league stage ran from 24th August-27th August. 5 groups of 4 teams battled it out in a round robin format. After the 20 matches, the top 16 qualified for the finals while the bottom 4 were eliminated.
Pakistani teams did not fare too well unfortunately. Out of the 4 eliminated teams, 3 were Pakistani teams. The 4th eliminated was the sole Bangladeshi representative, King of Spades, who fell short by 1 point. However, a lot of server issues plagued the Pakistani teams and hence, they weren’t able to perform to their potential.
The remaining 5 Pakistani teams shall hope that things get better in the finals, which shall run from 31st August to 3rd September. Besides the handsome prize pool, the top 4 teams in the finals shall also qualify for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC), meaning a lot is at stake.
