#job Senior Investment Accountant: We need Exceptionally talented Senior Investment Accountants not the same as traditional accountants who monitor and manage funds for individuals, organizations, and companies. On the other hand, investment accountants only work with brokerage and asset management firms. Portfolios managed by asset managers and brokers consist of millions of dollars’ worth of stocks, bonds, futures, ETFs, and currencies. Investment accountants work with these specialists to handle investments and keep an eye on any activity from outside parties. Advising and consulting asset managers and brokers on financial concerns, investment accountants can also hold managerial responsibilities. This helps companies maintain sound financial standing and logs every transaction for legal purposes. #InvestmentAccounting #AccountingJobs #AssetManagement #FinancialInvestment #SeniorAccountant #CPAjobs #FinanceCareers #InvestmentOpportunities #AccountingProfessionals #GAAP #IFRSStandards #FinancialReporting #TaxPreparation #DebtManagement #FinancialForecasts #AuditSupport #RegulatoryCompliance #FinancialAnalysis #AccountingCertification #ExcelProficiency #HiringNow #JobSearch #NowHiring #Recruiting #CareerOpportunities #Employment #JobPosting #WorkOpportunities #OpenPositions #JobVacancy Write the job title in the subject line and include a brief cover letter about your resume. Consultant to Finance Functions for SMEs | Fractional CFO | Finance Teams Transformation and Certified Post M&A Integration Specialist
The 3 basic tips for a good structure of a finance team...depending on the size of your company. 1. Have at least 3 levels of experience - Junior, Mid-Senior and Senior. This would allow you to spread various finance tasks to the right skill sets and experience. 2. Mindful of the reporting lines - Do not make the Junior and Mid-Senior report to the same person i.e. the Senior, especially when both roles are interrelated for example the mid-senior reviews the works of the junior. Making them report to the same person will undervalue the mid-senior 3. Make sure the structure is bottom-heavy and not top-heavy. - This would allow room for development for each member of the team, which will result in talents being retained and allow an organic long term growth for the company. Top heavy structures are expensive to maintain. Feel free to share your basic tips 👇🏼 #beevenbetter ---------- 🌱 Helping businesses transform their finance functions, pre or post-merger 📨 DM me to explore how I can assist 🔔 Follow for more #financetransformation #postmergerintegration

Our Asset Finance team at Wadkins Associates achieved their highest ever revenue during the last financial year. As a result of our specialism, we are fortunate to speak to a number of leading individuals across the sector, so we thought it might be helpful to share some key considerations: - In spite of consistent challenges, there remains plenty of opportunity across the market, with both replacement and growth hires. - A talented mid-level will always be of interest! - Senior hiring is back. Over the last year we have seen a significant rise in investment and growth hires at the senior end of the market. This type of hire had subsided significantly since the pandemic. - There continues to be increased management/board level scrutiny on hiring. It's rare that this scrutiny is preventing recruitment into a team, but the alignment and business case need to be robust. - It is certainly not a one-size-fits-all approach across the market. Different practices are taking very different approaches to adding headcount. - Partner contact and an established relationship are key to effectively supporting recruitment. In a tight market you (generally) get one shot, so it's important to ensure you are fully equipped and well-informed. - There are mutual connections everywhere! This offers enormous opportunity, but also serves as a cautionary reminder that people rarely forget a negative experience on the other side. We really appreciate your views and insight, so please feel free to reach out if it is helpful to discuss any of the points (or any others!) raised in more detail.

Market update so far in 2024: 🔶 Structured Finance hiring: Picking up steam, but mostly at the junior level-Firms seem cautiously optimistic 🔶 SRT: Continues to be a highly sought-after skillset 🔶 Fund Finance: Hot topic with active hiring 🔶 Candidate Market: More people are open to new opportunities following bonuses, and I'm seeing an increase in people referred to me 🔶 Compensation: Bonus expectations haven't met last year's levels on the whole. We expect more resignations in the next 6 weeks in particular. Feel free to drop me a message to discuss any of the topics above. #structuredfinance #fundfinance #srt #hiring #securitisation #securitization

To all the boutique advisory and investment firms out there - how do you manage this?
Struggling to scale your corporate finance advisory firm? This was the number one problem I had. 😣 I have run three boutique advisory and investment firms. Often, the lack of junior support left me feeling stuck and frustrated. 🙄 After 15+ years in the business, I 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆. I should have focused on sourcing business and speaking to clients. Instead, I spent the evenings researching the market, creating long lists, and making presentations to finish the client projects on time and in the necessary quality. 𝗬𝗲𝘁, 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆: 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Hiring is a big commitment. Salaries are relatively high and it’s a significant investment for a growing firm. 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻: Finding the right person takes time, and training them to work the way I do takes even more. ⏳ 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: This business is very volatile. Some months are extremely busy, while others are slower, making planning difficult. ❓How is it going for you? Are you facing similar challenges with your firm? Please share your experiences and strategies that have worked for you. I guess my „strategy“ was starting (Super)Analyst 😀
