A few weeks ago we took our kids to a local butterfly biosphere.
All of our kids are nervous about bugs—Posey (5) especially—so I wasn’t sure how it was going to go.
But within minutes they each had overcome their fears and held a butterfly. 30 minutes later no one wanted to leave.
It reminded me a lot about the adventure of entrepreneurship.
Just like my kids, I was extremely nervous when considering starting my own consulting business earlier this year.
Here’s what was going through my mind:
👉 What if I can’t make enough to support my family?
👉 What if I don’t know enough to help my clients?
👉 What if I can’t figure out the self-employed unknowns of taxes, health insurance, etc.?
But within a few weeks I realized how much I loved entrepreneurship and didn’t want to leave.
Facing your fears can be scary.
But it might just turn out to be one of the best things you do.
What are you avoiding out of fear?
