Advocacy always comes after loyalty. Using referrals is a smart way to grow your customer list, but one has to be mindful of when to ask for the referral. In my experience hold off on asking for referrals too soon, especially with new customers. Being too quick can make you seem a bit needy. You can offer incentives, but that also doesn't work with new customers. Nobody puts their social reputation on the line without being 100% sure about the product. Let's discuss "Brand Loyalty vs Advocacy" 1) Depth of Engagement- Loyalty involves repeat purchases, while advocacy involves a deeper level of engagement where customers actively promote the brand. 2) Action- Loyal customers will stick to your brand and will continue buying, while advocates go further by actively endorsing and recommending the brand as if they belong to the brand. 3) Scope of Influence- Advocacy broadens your brand's reach. Advocates share experiences, potentially influencing a wider audience. But, they're in it for the credit! Loyal customers stay true without making much noise.
