Can’t think of a better way to wrap up the work week and prepare to disconnect for next week’s Fourth of July holiday than with Deloitte’s very own CMO Program Lead Stacy Kemp and her CMOs Out of Office series! Loved Stacy’s conversation with Julie Saunders, CMO of AutoCamp, about how Julie manages her packed schedule while prioritizing time to exercise and be with her kids. As a single mom and someone who also has a hard time of sitting still for too long (fitting in active time is key!), I loved Julie’s point about setting non-negotiables. Mine is time together with my son, John, every night he’s with me. We eat dinner together and hear about each other’s day. Those are the moments that really matter. Definitely worth watching the full episode (https://deloi.tt/4cjIAaq) and the other conversations. Thank you, Stacy and Julie, for sharing your experiences and insights 😊

Do you intentionally create a work and life you love? Or do you just let things happen and hoping for the best? You can intentionally create the workplace you love. One where you and your team feel motivated, and excited. One where you have FUN. Having fun does not have to be something that we do after work, or between work. We can have fun WHILE we work. How can you have more fun while working? One way is to listen to music. This always makes me feel more inspired and motivated. Another way is to find a new environment to work in - like a cafe or nature. One which makes you feel more creative, and energized. The thing is, having fun has been proven to boost team morale and productivity. Having fun is the OPPOSITE of burnout. So why not intentionally have fun while you work? If you'd like more ideas on how to do that, you can listen to this week's episode: https://lnkd.in/gsDtVU9G

Equipping ambitious leaders with high-performing teams and a high quality of life | Ex NZ Rugby & UK Special Forces (civi)
Do you ever feel like companies say all the right things, but don't walk the walk? Brad Mooar describes them as 'part-time' or 'front-foot' values. "The values that are on the wall, but they're just not lived all the time." "When you’re going forwards it's great. But they're really, really critical in times of challenge." Brad and the All Blacks understand the importance of 'full time' values. The behaviours that teams or companies must demonstrate in order to live by the values they espouse. But how can you create this? In the most recent Elite Team Talks episode, Brad explains how the All Blacks create full-time, not part-time, values. But with a global, connected workforce, and competition for talent at an all time high, how can companies create resilient teams who live by the values they espouse when the going get's tough, rather than jumping ship? How do you prevent values from simply becoming words on the wall? According to Brad, it often requires teams and companies to define the behaviours that align with these values. And to turn these behaviours into the standards expected. So how do you role model 'full time values' when the going get's tough? With 'job hopping' at an all time, your team's or company's success might just depend on it.

#squigglysprint Day 6: Walk It, Talk It Today the #squigglysprint is all about conversations and Amazing If explored how creating better conversations at work creates better relationships. Recently I have been redesigning some current training to create a programme of activity called Authentic Conversations so I have been engulfed in this topic for some months! 🌟 As always lots of great take-aways and healthy habits identified. This episode helped me think about some positive activities I have taken part in previously such as collective learning spaces and Walk and Talk meetings. I miss these 😥 Jacqueline Furness ➡ My main action is to be authentic and confident in myself proving through my actions, not just my words. As like in Migos song it is all about walking the talk instead of just talking the talk. I will do this by focusing on my questioning techniques, honouring other people’s responses or non-responses, listening carefully to what is and what is not being said. But most importantly by modelling the positive behaviours associated with good conversation skills such as empathy, making space/time, managing my expectations and focusing on being curious more than being right. What has given you energy today? Let's talk- let me know if the comments below ⬇ 😄 “With every word we utter, with every action we take, we know our kids are watching us…” Michelle Obama Image Description Album cover of the artist Migos ft. Drake.

A beautiful and heartfelt conversation with Divya Gunashekar where she takes us through her hard times and her success stories. 2 things that really stuck to me in our conversation were: 1. Balancing the Employer-Employee Relationship: Divya emphasizes the importance of bridging the gap between employers and employees. She suggests that an open-door policy, creating a career ladder for employees, and fostering a culture of mutual understanding can help in achieving this balance. This highlights the significance of transparency and growth opportunities in the workplace to create a harmonious work environment. 2.Growth Hack and Success: Divya's advice to "continue to dream, put smart efforts in whatever you do, and be consistent in your journey" is a valuable growth hack. It underscores the importance of setting ambitious goals, working intelligently, and maintaining consistency in pursuing those goals. This resonates with the idea that success often requires a combination of vision, strategy, and perseverance. watch her full episode on https://lnkd.in/gjeR22hr
