The past week Nordic Fintech Week 2024 and Copenhagen Fintech hosted two events in #stockholm and #copenhagen about 'Future Money' together with Citi, Doconomy, Gilion, United Fintech and PixelPai. Ronit Ghose from Citi gave some insights from his new book 'Future Money: Fintech, AI and Web3' and we discussed how sustainability, AI and Web3 will impact the industry. This week Citi also published the report 'AI in Finance' which should be mandatory reading (maybe together with Ronit's book 😉) for financial industry professionals (link in comments). My two main takeaways from the report and discussions: 👉 AI in finance will increase profits. That is not the question. The big Q is how will those profits be reinvested in reskilling and educating the workforce? 👉 AI in finance will also introduce even more competition from new entrants that will fundamentally change the landscape. What will that do to legacy financial institutions? 😃 What excites me the most? The potential for driving even more radical transparency and democratizing access to products and services/advice for the many...
