#VideoGame production company Keywords Studios PLC (AIM:KWS, OTC:KYYWF) suffered a blow to its valuation in 2023 due to #ArtificialIntelligence fears and a weak industry backdrop, but Shore Capital Markets analysts see this as a buy opportunity for a profitable, market-leading company. Despite the 40% share markdown, #KeywordsStudios posted above-market growth in organic revenues and earnings, while the acquisition of notable video game developer The Multiplayer Group in December provides “an excellent pipeline for 2024”, reckon analysts. Further adding to Shore Cap’s investment thesis, Keywords is well leveraged with a €65 million (£56 million), with EBITDA margins tipped for 20% in the current financial year. Richard Brown, CTO at 7thSense, spoke to VFX: "Building a first-of-its-kind venue like Sphere brought with it a significant number of challenges that the 7thSense team was keen to dig their collective fingers into. Managing exceptionally large canvasses of playback, generative and live media as a single harmonious system is of utmost importance in a venue of this scale, and it is a workflow and underpinning technology we have been working on for quite some time. With a 16K x 16K canvas size, Sphere placed a priority on accelerating the development of the tools for media playback, multi-node rendering of generative assets and live compositing from multiple ST 2110 streams, as well as for pre-visualising the show without having access to the full system. Because time in the venue is an incredibly rare commodity, anything that can be done ‘offline’ helps to make the time in the venue more productive.” “Not only is it our first major application of ST 2110, it just happens to be the largest ST 2110 network in an entertainment venue on the planet!” "High-speed streaming of uncompressed media from Network Attached Storage (NAS) is something we have been wanting to do for a long time, but the technology was not sufficiently advanced to support the bandwidth and timely delivery of data until very recently. Why current DAOs in RWA (Real World Assets), won't solve societal issues? let's take as protocols examples: ⛓ Mantra (OM) ⛓ Polymesh Network (POLYX) Both of them aims to fractionalise real estate goods to facilitate investment in real estate and indirectly transform the market into one that behaves like wall street (with the difference that it involves sums 1000x smaller). 🔻 Too generalist Such protocols can't catch the real estate local market issues. In US for example, certain cities/states will have lower wealth generational distribution, lower ask for real estate goods. ❌ Ask is low, offer is high. ❌ The lack of circularity of properties between generations. ❌ The lack of interest in counterbalancing this societal drift (guarantee provided by the state for behaviour towards a more sustainable/solid society, addressed to real estate suppliers) The protocol doesn't have the ability to adapt to such a scenario. They represent a disguised disruption. 🎭 Why? Because they are build to serve same interests as before... Interest of a real estate agency but decentralized. And how a real estate can benefit from such a system? Through micro-transaction fees hidden in shares of splitted properties. As Ubisoft experimented with its first on-chain games. When the founders' interests lie in an economic interest, they will naturally gravitate towards such systems. MANTRA is a vertically-integrated enterprise network. POLYMESH is an association graded for institutional use cases. Both of them doesn't disrupt a field. They don't push back a balance between users and suppliers. Their primary interest is to reach more users through an attractive technological offering (shiny syndrom effect) that will primarily benefit suppliers. Saber Interactive might be saved in a $500 Million deal The deal will make Saber Interactive a privately owned company, according to the report, with approximately 3,500 employees Saber Interactive was originally acquired by Embracer in 2020 for $525 million. The studio is working on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, John Carpenter's Toxic Commando, and Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game. I'm sure the Emperor has its hand in there somewhere, wanting to see Space Marine 2 released in 2024. That will not be the last deal, as Embracer's restructuring is far from over.
