Sally Ann Frank from Microsoft for Startups shines a light on the game-changers in health tech. At #himss24 , she outlined why some startups like Innovaccer and BeeKeeperAI lead the charge in transforming healthcare. - The digital lag in healthcare is a prime opportunity for innovators. - Success hinges on solving real problems, integrating seamlessly with existing systems, and leveraging AI without sidelining human expertise. - It's not just about tech; understanding the healthcare ecosystem and navigating regulations are crucial. via Healthcare IT News #healthcareai https://lnkd.in/dVyA3ME3 #HealthTech #Innovation #DigitalTransformation #MicrosoftForStartups

Disruption in healthcare requires balancing the dichotomy of advancing innovation in ways that don't "completely upset the workflow" as highlighted by Sally Ann Frank in her Health IT News article. Looking forward to the discussion at #HIMSS24 with other #digitalhealth disruptors. https://lnkd.in/gNWpP-r8
It was great to speak with Sally Ann Frank at Microsoft for Startups ahead of her #HIMSS24 session on how successful #digitalhealth disruptors fuel investment, and how unicorns grow and scale. Greeley, cofounder and general partner at Flare Capital Partners. Hear what else she had to say about the upcoming session on #healthcareinnovation next month in Orlando. HIMSS #hit

Had a blast at the World Summit AI. It was great to connect with local #healthcare #govtech startups like Whispp & Typetone.AI Syntho Key learnings: - Collaboration between #startups and #corporates can work well if startups have industry advisors that help them understand the market dynamics of corporates. 🌏 - Getting access to the right data is still a challenge in the healthcare space but with #hospitals adopting more and more cloud technology and #ai #saas solutions they become more data-driven to deliver better patient outcomes. 👩⚕️🏥 - If you want to differentiate yourself from competitors your #AI product need to solve a challenge that you can not easily replicate by adopting the standard large language models and connecting it with a nice front end. Your IP needs to be unique and not easily replaceable to attract potential investors. Microsoft for Startups #partnerships

𝐒𝐢𝐱 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐈-𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 What it takes to build generational AI companies in healthcare, life sciences, and beyond. "AI-first companies are in the business of advancing AI as a science, whereas AI-enabled companies are implementation and distribution machines. The two company phenotypes establish moats at different layers — AI-first companies innovate just above hardware, whereas AI-enabled companies create enterprise value at the application-level." Distinguishing between AI-first and AI-enabled companies is imperative. AI-first firms necessitate deep AI research, patient investors, substantial capital, and unconventional business models. AI-first control the technology stacks, cost structures, and product flexibility. Founders should be aware, the rise of verticalized AI-first ventures, especially in verticals like healthcare and life sciences as well as others, should adhere to six imperatives.
