I would like to say a huge thank you to the Deloitte PM CoE L&D Team for issuing this course to complete. As a person who is not neurotypical, and a people leader with team members who are neurodiverse I am always grateful for the increased awareness. - Neurodiversity is a naturally occurring variation in the way our brains work - It is estimated 35% of US businesses are owned by people with dyslexia in comparison to the 10% of the population having a dyslexic diagnosis If you oversee a team or anyone with a neurodiverse condition ask them: "How can we support you to work at your best" - this is an inclusive question that will help give you the best ability to have a high-performing team

Thank you EY for creating the Breaking Down Barriers Program! Participating in EY's Breaking Down Barriers program has been a truly wondrous experience, enlightening me about the extreme importance of diversity and inclusivity. The talks and discussions in the program have been a source of immense inspiration, showcasing EY's genuine commitment to its employees and promoting a culture of inclusive leadership, where EY’s teams are constantly being enriched by a diverse range of experiences, backgrounds, and skills, as they are brought together by an array of wondrous talents. One aspect that particularly resonated with me was the career journeys of EY's female staff members, who all are great inspiration. The program shed light on the prevalence of imposter syndrome among the female population (especially women who work in a male dominated field) and emphasized the significance of projecting one's authentic self to colleagues, as to reduce the risk of burnout. Via the POWER framework, breaking down barriers in workplaces seems much more manageable and impactful, whereby a team environment progresses into a healthier and more inclusive workplace! I want to express my gratitude to EY for organizing this workshop and equipping me with such significant soft skills which I will carry with me during times of leadership. The experience has strengthened my resolve to promote diversity, inclusivity, and authentic leadership in my professional life. P.S. Aline's muffin was the best XD. Also, love the EY tote bags!

Many of us think we can do it all alone, but that's a recipe for disaster. It spoils the culture and demotivates high performers who would like to learn and grow. As leaders, it is our primary responsibility to build high performing team culture. Let's make #noexcuses and learn to trust in the ability of our team members. I learned my lesson of building high performing teams during Year 1 of joining Deloitte, when I was tasked with championing Impact Day at Deloitte U.S. India in 2005. For those who don't know Impact Day, it is Deloitte's Global Community day when all staff spends a day doing community service. In India, it meant planning volunteer programs for 10000+ employees on a single day. The Impact Day team went all the way year after year, and the Impact Day in India became the largest program being run by the firm in India across Deloitte globally. We also got recognized year after year by Limca Book Of Records in India for the largest number of community service hours by an organisation on a single day. What a feat! This story is a testament to the power of trust and teamwork. Quite like this rebar bending activity video below which I did as part of Firewalking Institute of Research and Education Instructor Training in April'24. The objective is to surpass individual boundaries and cultivate a collective mindset of concentration, focus, trust, and teamwork. Two participants team up to bend an eight-foot steel rebar, commonly used in reinforced concrete construction. Touch activity driving home an even tougher realisation - we need to learn to trust our team to achieve desired results. #noexcuses Thank you to my mentor, Kumar Kolin for trusting me to champion Impact Day, for inviting me to join OMP #PowerTeam and pivoting my career to lead several great programs nationally. Earlier this month, Deloitte hosted Well-Being Week, an annual week-long event focused on promoting the integration of well-being in our daily work, our teams, and our personal lives. This event came just when I started my own reflection on things I wanted (and needed!) to shift immediately and also in the coming year. As a volunteer coach at Deloitte, I was coaching my clients through this type of reflection and permissioning, too. As I close 2023 and prepare physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally for 2024, I figured I'd put my money where my mouth is and share my #MyWellBeingPledge. Simply, I commit to: 👩🏾For myself: Carving out 15 minutes each day for mindful curiosity, then doing a deep dive on Fridays to elevate my knowledge and explore ways to apply that knowledge. ✨For my team (seen here ⬇️): Be clear and transparent, notice and acknowledge the gifts that others showcase, and courageously share my gifts in support of offering different perspectives that elevates our work and our value in the organization. #WellBeingatWork #ReflectandGrow #CouragePermissionSlip #CourageousLeaders

𝐈 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮!!   In my role as Deloitte Government & Public Services’s Enterprise Performance Offering Portfolio Leader, I get immense energy from making personal connections with colleagues all over the world…   ✍ Recently, I had the honor to send personal handwritten congratulatory letters to 35 top performing Deloitte Government & Public Services Enterprise Performance practitioners. This was my way to make a personal connection and celebrate the impacts they made for our clients and each other over the past year.     I truly enjoy receiving handwritten letters. In fact, I carry many of those letters with me in my Bible when travelling. One of which is a letter written to me by Jennifer J. Walcott when I was blessed with the opportunity and challenge to step into the GPS Enterprise Performance OP Leader role. While receiving letters might be infrequent in this digital era, I truly believe the art and value of a handwritten letter will never diminish.   While writing letters is one way of showing appreciation and connecting, I also believe engaging in meaningful conversation is just as impactful.
