🐙 Czech-founded Keboola, a self-service data operations platform, recently raised $32 million in a Series A funding round, led by the private equity business of Viking Global Investors. This significant funding builds on 2022’s $4.5 million Seed round led by Presto Ventures with participation from Reflex Capital, TCF Capital, Eduard Kučera and other angel investors.
As of November 2023, the $32M investment marks the biggest Series A round in Central Europe in 2023.

Excited about this one and wanted to share the high level thesis behind Mercia Ventures' investment into Chris Iveson, Robin Hartley-Willows and the FourJaw Manufacturing Analytics team.
🌍 Manufacturing is a huge sector, think multiple trillions. Maximising output while controlling quality is a common challenge for all manufacturers and will continue to be.
🏭 Assembly lines are composed of many machines and human processes. Understanding the assembly line end to end and driving optimisation across it requires huge amounts of data capture, analysis and action.
🤖 FourJaw has figured out a way to hook up whole factories (no matter what machines are used) with simple connected devices that allow deep factory insights to be surfaced in hours and within a low-cost subscription model. A step change in capability for any factory productivity initiative.
📈 The market agrees, the business has grown rapidly, now serving >120 manufacturers worldwide in sectors including aerospace, automotive, energy and food production. Scaling within these industries alone is a huge opportunity.

👩💼👨💼 Unioo was born out of a desire to change the way people run organizations and volunteering by developing tools that make it easier to run an association. Unioo has developed a compliance tool that helps financial institutions 🏦 get an overview, and collect, legally required KYC and ODD data from the associations. In addition, the board platform is made available to the associations via the bank.
🤩 Unioo is already working with ~20 small and medium-sized Danish banks, including Sparekassen Danmark, Middelfart Sparekasse, Skjern Bank and vestjyskBANK, and we expect more to follow soon!
