This brings back so many memories! I still think so fondly of my time and the team at Ready At Dawn through the creation of The Order: 1886.

✍️ The long-awaited release of Starfield is approaching!
For the occasion, I have written an article about:
Everything you need to know on Bethesda space game!
Check it out, only on #Gameplify!
I'm usually a passive user on LinkedIn, but I'm breaking the silence today because yesterday I finished playing my personal Game of the Year - En Garde by Fireplace Games.
The other day a friend of mine Matvey Doronichev flashed this title in his steam wishlist, and had he not done so, I might never have discovered this game. It's exclusive to PC and doesn't have too much reviews on steam.
A quick glance at the trailer revealed everything I love in a game - combat reminiscent of Sifu, a strong focus on utilizing the environment against enemies, stunning artwork, and a delightful, lighthearted storyline.
I purchased it, played through it, and it was absolutely incredible.
I won't delve deeply into the gameplay, as it's fairly evident from the trailer, but to summarize - it's a charming, small-scale combat/systems driven game, taking everything that made Sifu great and pushing it to the extreme. It offers a reasonable level of difficulty and can be completed in just 4-5 hours.
I firmly believe that each game purchase or recommendation is a vote which shapes the future of the gaming industry. Charming En Garde has earned my vote.
If you enjoy challenging, combat-driven games, I strongly encourage you to try this hidden gem, it's on sale now!

Fun fact time‼️
My wife and I are lifetime gamers.
How big into games are we, you ask?
We love games so much we were able to get married at PAX West during the Gearbox Entertainment panel with the ever wonderful Anthony Nicholson, Chris Faylor Mikey Newman, Erica Stead, Randall Pitchford, and Randy Pitchford! 🥰
During last years PAX West Gearbox Entertainment panel, my wife and I did a cosplay of the Borderlands series NPC's Dr. Zed and Dr. Ned (respectively).
When the Gearbox staff rounded up the Borderlands cosplayers, we were missed, so we got stuck sitting near the center front of the stage.
Luckily for us, so was the PAX media team. 😊
Now that you know the back story, this picture will make more sense.
This year's PAX West media team made a tweet highlighting the use of facemasks, and they used my wife and I as the photo for their tweet!
(BIG nerd moment.) 🤓
Some of you may be wondering. "Michael, how can you spin this post to show your professional side?" 🤔
Easy.
When you want to make a connection with someone, you have to remember that the person on the other side is more than their job title and the company they work for.
⭐️➡️ They are a person first. ⬅️⭐️
Now my network knows a bit more about who I am as a person, and hopefully, you will use this knowledge to make a stronger connection with me here on LinkedIn. 😊
(I am easily derailed with game conversations.)
P.S. I may not be on the same gaming level as Amir Satvat, but I'm at least getting an honorable mention, right?

Connections #Wargaming Conference Day 2 Report: Just got home from Connections but still catching up on events!
Highlights from Wednesday began with a panel on Analytic Tools and Systems. Amelia Frederking and Morgan Olvera from TRAC presented on the TRAC Wargame System and the Versatile Assessment Simulation Tool developed in R (VAST-R). TRAC is building an excellent tactical/operational wargaming system that is able to model effects in all domains while remaining simple to grok and traceable to doctrine and widely accepted planning factors.
The second panel I attended was on Policy (War)Gaming. I found Sophie Sallot’s game dealing with the challenges of implementing the Army Climate Strategy particularly insightful for the way it elegantly abstracted complex conceptual interactions and competing interests.
The final presentation of the day for me was by Tim Barrick (OWS fame) and Tavis Parker of The Game Crafter, LLC. The Game Crafter is a US based company that provides designers a rather unique opportunity to get a hold of game components, prototype designs, and sell/distribute through a print on demand system. I’ll definitely be using them to print my game whenever I get to actually putting it to paper!
Wednesday ended with dinner and a game night. There were many great published and upcoming games out but I’ll provide a photo of the Littoral Commander game here. Sebastian Bae should start charging a service to GM Littoral Commander games with additional heckling for an up-charge!

When brands from different industries enter the gaming space, they often bring their own expertise, resources, and fan bases, which can enrich the gaming experience and open up new opportunities for both gamers and businesses alike. Additionally, it can help diversify the types of games available and create new revenue streams for developers. Overall, the involvement of brands in the game industry can contribute to its growth and evolution.
