It's Matthias Schmittmann's latest venture, not just any company. It's a B2B SaaS outfit with a clear mission: to streamline how businesses handle methane emissions. Think of it as a toolkit for finding, fixing, and reporting emissions – no fuss, just results. I crossed paths with Matthias in Thailand, of all places. Vacation days, chance meetings, and there you have it – friendship and a business alliance. I was the first to back him up, first check, and supported pulling together a syndicate that now boasts names and friends like Maximilian A. Schwarz, a particular player in climate tech with Nucleus Capital. Atmio's not just software; there's hardware in the mix, which drew in HCVC and ProGlove, with their experts like Manuel Bönisch from ProGlove/OMA Ventures, Bernhard Mohr, one of Dräger, Dr. Michael Kolb of Foxinsights, Tobias Hagenau helming work, and the folks at Rivus Capital.
