General Partner at Alpaca VC

When we launched Alpaca VC’s Venture, Tech & Capital markets dinner series earlier this year, we did so with a goal to help build South Florida’s growing tech ecosystem through evenings of food, drinks and connection. Each one has exceeded our expectations - including last week’s gathering, which drew a great group of investors, founders and operators to join us in Delray beach. A big thank you to our guest speakers Brett Podolsky, Co-Founder of The Farmer's Dog, and Rob Cousin, Managing Director and Vice Chairman, JP Morgan Private Equity Group, for sharing your insight and advice with us. Your candid stories and unvarnished takes on building companies and the tech climate today are invaluable. We’re grateful to our sponsors sponsors Capital Connect by J.P. Morgan, TriNet and Holland & Knight LLP for their support and to Jamie Shock, Calvin Cheong, Taha Laique, CAIA, Nicole Stanners and Zibbie Nwokah for being a part of the event. As we’re planning upcoming events to continue building the South Florida tech landscape we’re proud to be a part of, please reach out directly if you’d like to connect and collaborate.

I always wonder what VC investors would think if they had access to candid conversations with employees and alums of the companies they fund…
