We made a couple of big announcements today on the closing day of FIRA USA: 1) FIRA USA 2024 will be in Sacramento/Davis next fall! We are working on the details and will dates and exact location(s) published soon. We are excited to put another event together that will put content, exhibitor area, and demo within walking distance for everyone. Growers and dealers applauded this change - we'll be working with them to get it implemented properly. 2) FIRA USA 2025 will be in Salinas - and yes we will be back at the Rodeo Grounds (Salinas Sports Complex)! We think this week's event went great, and we have a few things to add when we return in 2 years. 3) Starting with FIRA USA 2024, all verified growers will get into FIRA USA FOR FREE!! Yes, we recognize that grower attendance is the most important success factor for the event so we are going to let growers come without paying a dime. A few of us will be in Sacramento/Davis reviewing location options. If anyone has any specific feedback on FIRA USA 2023, please respond to our upcoming survey request (will be in your box soon), post on this thread, or email me or any of the other organizers.

This week the consortium meeting for R3PACK - Reduce, Reuse, Rethink PACKaging took place Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in Freising. I had the opportunity to present our findings concerning the framing and marketing strategies aimed at enhancing the choice of food products offered in reusable #packaging. However, a significant challenge persists: determining the level of consumer willingness to return reusable packaging at designated collection points. Exciting developments lie ahead as we prepare for in-store demonstrations this spring, where we will put our theories to the test!
