WOW! 3 years have come and gone in the blink of an eye. It feels like yesterday I jumped feet first into a role that I really didn’t know what to expect. Sure, I had been on the other end of recruiting calls and really didn’t love that part of the experience, to be honest… But, the pandemic had shifted things for me and I decided why not entertain a conversation... and I am SO grateful I did. What interested me most was my conversations with Kim, Laura, Beth, and Katelynn (among others). What they had shared they loved about their career in recruiting thus far just happened to align with a few core values important to me: ✨Connecting with people✨ ▫️ This was a large reason why I left public accounting in the first place, and something I had lost in my yoga/fitness/retail sales journey during the pandemic, and missed greatly. ✨Helping others✨ ▫️ Coming from an accounting background, this holds a special place for me in an effort to ‘match’ organizations with finance and accounting talent they can retain for years to come. From a candidate perspective, the ability to bring opportunities to the table they may not have even known about or that align with what is most important to them in their life today. ✨Emphasis on a team environment and focusing on long-term relationships (versus short-term gains)✨ ▫️ You win some, you lose some’ – one of my favorite quotes and it never feels good to ‘lose’, but with my background in teaching yoga it is an easy one to lean on when you focus on the big picture, focus on nurturing relationships, and focus on the idea that what you put out into the world will return itself to you in dividends. ▫️So for today - no job postings, no market insights, nothing to share here other than an appreciation for Truity Partners, my team, and to those I have had the good fortune to cross paths with along the way… THANK YOU for entertaining my cold calls, for laughing along with me in my voicemails, for getting honest on what's important to you, for your trust, and for so much more to come. Eight is GR8! This week, I celebrated 8 years at Ketchum. I have many years of experience, and I can say categorically, working at Ketchum is the best move I have made in my career to date. I am beyond fortunate to have amazing clients. And, having colleagues that feel like family members makes coming to work everyday a pleasure. As I reflect on 8 years, here are 3 things that I’ve learned and/or taught during my journey: 1. When everyone feels comfortable being their authentic selves at work, magic happens. It unlocks unrestrained, creative thinking, unparalleled collaboration, and shared experiences that are like rocket fuel for success. This is Ketchum’s secret sauce. And it makes us unstoppable. 2. We have each other’s backs. Period. Full stop. The ups and downs of life and work can take a toll. But when you know you’ve got people in your corner, it refills the tank, and it leaves every team member feeling like they can conquer the world for each other - and for their clients. 3. Empathy, intelligence and progress: Ketchum has all three in spades. Empathy I’ve talked about. Intelligence? No other agency can match our data driven approach. Progress? We never stop reimagining, reinventing and innovating. Here’s to the next GR8. Thanks to my clients and colleagues all over the world. 🙏🏼💪🏼

#Diversity & #Inclusion at De Beers Group - it really does matter. I participated in a very thought provoking and inciteful webinar today that was provided to employees by De Beers Group around inclusion, where we had a facilitated conversation with guest speaker and Founder of the Human Library Organization, Ronni Abergel and a diverse panel of De Beers colleagues who kindly shared their own experiences.    De Beers have been running a series of #Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (#EDI) events throughout 2023, discussing topics related to key themes in the spotlight.
