In the absence of having Salesforce, or any CRM for that matter, i've had to get creative around how I keep track of accounts, prospects time zones, and status. MyMaps can be a free and very useful resource for bootstrapped founders to track all their accounts in one place. I append each account with the prospects that work out of a specific office hub to further clarify who I should be calling and when. #startups

I passed a $2k deal to a competitor. 3 months ago I received an amazing email: [...] Can you build a CRM and a Finance Tracker for my business? If so, happy to pay you for this system[...] It was a big cybersecurity company, so I couldn't resist. I shared my Calendly Link and booked a Discovery Call What I didn’t know up until the dialog started: I was about to receive a bigger offer from notus notus is a B2B Personal Branding Agency that was my client during 2023 But their new offer required my full focus during 2024 At first, I was hesitant to make a decision. - Would you rather have five small projects or one big project? The answer seems obvious “What if you lose that one big project? Diversify!” But then I reminded myself about my long-term vision notus’ vision is super aligned with it Then I met the founder and the team… THEY ARE AMAZING! 😍 Doubts aside, I didn’t hold back and declined the $2k project But I did something special before I emailed my top competitor and did a quick intro He is one of the top Notion creators I've come across. And I believe his track record speaks volumes! No clue what he's gonna do next: - He might deliver this and not follow up with the client - He might continue working with the client and get more projects. - He might return the favor and send some clients in the future But what I do know is that he’s gonna do a great job I trust there are enough opportunities for all of us!
