So many aspects of breakthrough technology comes down to new or more accurate implementations of existing concepts.
In so many conversations recently about 2.5D workflows for either LED Volumes and virtual production, or normal live events production, I’ve continually been pulling this up on my phone! Such a good reminder that a lot of these clever workflows come from such a great place, and this still holds up as to one of the best visual demonstrations and explanations. So cool! Super helpful to understand when looking into 2.5D in Epic Games Unreal Engine, disguise , Notch , or when discussing with Pinar Seyhan Demirdag as to how Cuebric’s workflow works with AI-generated imagery.

Focusing on long-term commercial gains 💪 Sponsorship case study: English football club Hampton & Richmond FC have made a unique commitment to partner with Movember... for $0. The partnership includes: 1) Front of jersey placement 2) Support with fundraising initiatives 3) Delivering initiatives to help young people and parents talk about mental health through football environments Why would they give up their prime real-estate (front of jersey) to Movember for free, instead of a high-paying commercial sponsor? Principal owner and ex-strategy director of Liverpool FC, Stefano Petruzzo FRGS is focused on: 1) Values & culture: Building a values-orientated club with a strong culture 2) Differentiation: A brand that is unique and positively perceived 3) Commercial: A brand that is appealing to partner with (based on the above) Sponsorships always involves a value exchange... Although Movember aren't providing a direct financial benefit, the association delivers goodwill and a transfer in brand equity, which improves Hampton & Richmond FC's appeal and likelihood of obtaining future sponsorships and achieving broader commercial outcomes. When you are the Commissioner of the #ESLProLeague, you have a number of member orgs/teams that you need to treat equally. You love them all equally. And that is true... But I want to highlight Jason Lake of Complexity Gaming Anyone who knows Jason will know he is passionate about #esports. He is loyal to his staff and players. He is driven to do all he can to grow the #brand he created 20+ years ago. What everyone will not know about is the sacrifice, effort and selflessness he put into solving this critical issue around his parent company adding another org/team to its holdings. The impending conflict of issue was looming and existential. I shouldn't raise any member/org or org leader above the others. It's not fair. And it could upset the others. But the thing is: Jason is so respected and loved in the esports ecosystem, that I don't think the others will mind. And I think that is the measure of the man and his passion for this space. Hats off sir. A great interview in which Jason is honest and raw about his two decades, about his last four months and the love for his "third child". Do you worry about how to make an event interesting when you have the privilege of being the anchor? Last Saturday I was the host of an event. From feedback, and my personal experience, the event was a great success meaning it was a lot of fun for those who attended. One thing that worked, in my opinion, to make it such a success was using the gift of competition. Human beings are generally quite competitive by nature. This is starkly evident when we play games. We played just one competitive game where we had the audience choose their representative by table. You should have heard how thunderous the applause was. I couldn't have paid the audience enough to get such a reaction. They instinctively wanted to support their candidate and, as a consequence, gave all they could. This infused a lot of life and humour to the event. What ways can you instigate friendly competition at events? Any line of separation can work. For instance: 1. Countries. 2. School. 3. Gender. 4. Company. 5. Table. 6. Age. 7. Colours. ... Remember, as an anchor, master of ceremony or host, you are not the highlight of the event but rather, you are there to spotlight the highlights. Use the gift of competition to spotlight the highlights of the occasion and make it a captivating event for all. #publicspeaking #MC #Masterofceremony #competition

Viewing Figures Jump For Edinburgh Event 📈 This month’s BetVictor Scottish Open achieved outstanding viewing figures on UK Eurosport, with the average audience for the event up 64% compared to 2022. The tournament in Edinburgh was won by Gary Wilson for the second year in a row as he beat Noppon Saengkham 9-5 in the final. The peak audience for the final was up 28% compared to last year. Fans also welcomed the chance to watch the event on DMAX, with the average audience across the event up 19% when compared with figures on QUEST from 2022. The overall cumulative audience across the event on UK Eurosport and DMAX jumped by 76% when compared to last year’s numbers on UK Eurosport and QUEST. Read more 👉 https://lnkd.in/ebgeAmhH
