In the current job market, it is usual for professionals to hop from one company to another to achieve their career objectives. The length of stay in a company can vary significantly, with most individuals staying for a year or two. However, it is not uncommon for first-time employees to stick around for only three months or less.

I wouldn't say we get paid "The Big Bucks", but it IS our job to find the best candidate for our client, and it's not always easy. Depending on the position, it can be a lengthy, time consuming process. We get paid ONLY if the process is completed; from sourcing, recruiting, submitting, interviewing, hiring, pre employment paperwork, drug screening, background screening and THEN getting our candidate to start. There are so many variables during the hiring process anything can cause the "Perfect Candidate" to back out or not follow through. Most recruiting positions are commission based and we only make money if you "The Candidate" is making money. There are so many times we get our candidate to the final step and then we get THE CALL... "My current employer made me an offer I couldn't refuse". and then we are back to square one. So, some may get the "Big Bucks" and some may get "The Normal Bucks", but no matter the bucks you get, it's a tough gig that most of us love! #recruitment #hiring #ghosting
Why do recruiters get paid the big bucks? Companies pay us a hefty sum to find them EXACTLY what they are looking for. That is why making job placements is notoriously hard to do. Several factors all need to line up: 1. Location of the candidate 2. Experience of the candidate 3. Personality of the candidate 4. Salary expectations of the candidate When all of these come together into one candidate, you can just hope and pray that they get and accept the position. P.S. Companies will often consider changing the job description if they find a superstar candidate.
