Successful Workforce Development programs takes many forms and start at a variety of career points for individuals. If you are growing, starting, expanding or enhancing your program, find out how GradLeaders can assist.
We were beyond thrilled to learn that, with GradLeaders Career Center, Goodwill Industries of North Florida was able to realize a vision of serving more youth in their career readiness journeys. "GradLeaders has provided the Mayor's Youth At Work Partnership, a Goodwill Industries of North Florida signature mission program, a sustainable and scalable way to manage internship applications and report on key data points. Prior to implementing the system we were using spreadsheets to track everything which was difficult, but seems especially unimaginable as we have now doubled our number of applications per session." ~ Marla Meredith, Lead Job Coach for MYAWP with Goodwill Industries of North Florida https://buff.ly/3qlxIpw

Check out Public Allies National Board member and staff alum, Marc McAleavey, MSW's, blog post on leadership development! In this piece, he shares his belief that everyone has the capacity and skills to step up and lead positive change in their communities. ⭐ "Public Allies believes that everyone leads: that leadership isn’t a position, but actions we take. Through this, I have come to know that leadership is like a muscle that everyone has... However, when we marry our gifts and talents with the hopes and dreams of our neighbors, our leadership muscles grow and thrive in the power of community."
Marc McAleavey, Community Analysis Program Manager at The Polis Center, shares his insights on how Luddy students are developing leadership skills through the research partnership between Polis and Luddy Indianapolis. In his guest blog he explains that, in 2023, Polis hosted over 100 student interns in paid internships to support the numerous and diverse research and analysis projects they have with community rooted organizations in Indiana and across the globe. https://lnkd.in/eYjfffmu

Great question. A good intern is looking for opportunities to learn new skills and contribute to the projects that they are involved with. We like to talk about engineering being self-directed continuous learning, and interns that exhibit curiosity, that are unafraid of asking questions, and are willing to dig into a little research are going to excel. A good intern mentor and supervisor is planning ahead to identify those opportunities and "clear the deck" for intern participation. This might mean that productivity occasionally temporarily takes a back seat to creating enriching experiences, but that is absolutely a great investment in the long term for the intern and the company.

Big things are happening in the Jones College Supply Chain Management program! Congratulations to Dr. Richard Tarpey, new Director of the Center for Supply Chain Management and Sustainability! #supplychain #sustainability #supplychainmanagement
I am excited to be named the first Director of Middle Tennessee State University's Center for Supply Chain Management and Sustainability. We are working on two exciting programs for the Fall of 2025. · Synergy-Experience: providing students with real-world experience through internships and an innovative program where students work toward specific curriculum objectives in partnership with a project/work experience at a company. · Synergy-CollabLab: students collaborate with industry partners to solve real problems. This program brings students and industry partners together to analyze and solve challenges to find applicable and implementable solutions.
