Today, women face a lot of challenges in the professional landscape, from societal biases to leadership disparities, hindering them from realizing their untapped potential. In line with this years' theme for the International Womens Week; “Invest in women: Accelerate Progress,” #IWW2024 #InspireInclusion I have made it my intention to dedicate myself to invest in upcoming future female leaders and empower them with tranferrable skills that will aid them in breaking the glass ceiling thereby creating a domino effect. My five action steps towards my intention include; 🤝Empowering young women to be confident in themselves and make their daily intention to be a better version of themselves. #selfconfidence 🤝 Empowering young women to embrace the two sides of the coin; the pro's and the con's in their entirety; Understanding that negative outcomes bring out the best version of themselves. #defyingthestatusquo 🤝 Encouraging young women to trust their instincts and taking on new challenges for transformational leadership. #transformationalleadership 🤝 Encouraging collaboration; we all have our unique talents and with combined efforts we can achieve greater outcomes to make a difference in our communities. #collaborativeefforts 🤝 Being compassionate and empathic to help young women in their areas of weakness as opposed to being critical. Acknowledging your weakness is the first step to success and overcoming what you fear. #compassionateleadership " A society that only tends to empower one group of people while completely ignoring the other is a society that can never thrive." We all have a role to play to empower women to find their voice, be better versions of themselves for them to make better decisions that will benefit our communities. How are you investing in women to empower them?

Today, on International Women's Day, it's a privilege to honour the remarkable women who are integral to the success of our business, including the fact that they make up over 50% of the Canadian Seed Leadership Team. These women are not just participants; they are catalysts of change and growth, embodying the principles of a healthy and intelligent organization as highlighted by Patrick Lencioni in "The Advantage." There is a wealth of research supporting the idea that empowering women leads to superior business outcomes. Our organization is evidence of that research, showcasing the tangible benefits of gender diversity in leadership roles, and throughout the organization. · Jodie Atkinson -Product & Supply Manager · Katie Irvine -Licensing Manager · Heather Kendall Seilis -Commercial Operations Manager · Danielle Podolinsky -Customer Marketing Manager · Sarah Starratt -Executive Assistant · Michelle Wall -North American Seed Regulatory Lead · Kim White -Controller I consider myself incredibly fortunate to work alongside these women on our Canadian Seed Leadership Team, and every woman in our business. Their insights, dedication, and leadership do not merely enhance our business—they elevate it, and they challenge and inspire me to be better every day. Their contributions are a constant reminder of the strength that diversity brings to an organization, and today, we celebrate not just their achievements but also the positive impact they have on our company and the industry at large. #inspireinclusion #iwd2024 #syngentaproud

The portrayal of women in leadership positions goes beyond mere symbolism; brings measurable benefits to organizations and society as a whole. Research consistently shows that companies and institutions with mixed leadership teams tend to outperform their peers. By leveraging a larger talent pool and unleashing the full potential of their workforce, organizations can make better-informed decisions, adapt to diverse markets, and foster an inclusive culture that attracts the best talent. Additionally, employing women in leadership positions sets a positive example for future generations, inspiring girls to pursue ambitious career goals and break through glass ceilings.
