VP Devices, Reality Labs at Meta

Today marks a milestone for Meta as we launch our new headset, Meta Quest Pro, in an all-new high-end category. The many new technologies embedded within it represent our company’s next step toward bringing the metaverse to life, and making VR the next phase of daily-life computing.  Quest Pro’s many new features, each of which is an engineering feat unto itself, include pancake lenses, much more expressive avatars, high-resolution passthrough in color, self-tracking controllers with improved haptics, and improved weight distribution and ergonomics. This device is important to our metaverse strategy as we progress beyond gaming toward embodying the next phase of daily-life computing. We look forward to learning from its early adopters and incorporating customer feedback into our future devices.  In the meantime, we’ll enjoy seeing people around the world adopting Quest Pro as an immersive new way to work, play, learn, create, and connect. Hearty congratulations and thanks to everyone who played a role in making this technology a reality. It’s always a great day when our hard work is introduced to the world.

Hello! Meta just disabled my account without warning. I tried appealing for my account but it went to deaf ears. I hope before u produce MORE products, KINDLY improve your customer service first. There are hundreds of businesses relying on META but since you disabled their accounts, those incomes disappeared. #facebookdisabledme

The working-person metaverse is real. In the largest controlled experiment of VR learning, a single training lesson delivered on virtual reality headsets created by a team of Hollywood professionals slashed serious injuries for 4,000 fulfillment plant workers by 72 percent. Results continued for the pilot group for three years after a single 30-minute immersion. Just like the abandoned, shuttered shops left behind by the industrial revolution, the metaverse makes everything we know obsolete.

Looks sleek and light. Has the potential to change the way we play, create, learn, connect, and work(?) all in an immersive way. I must say the 'work' is the one that requires new, unique and rich use cases and experiences to make it ubiquitous and desired over in person. Congrats on your launch and looking forward for more. Would love to experience it firsthand soon. #meta

Do the pancake lenses have attachment points for aftermarket corrective lenses? This feature made the Quest 2 usable for many, as glasses (even with extenders) can rub on the lens and ruin them.

So how much more detailed biometric data about the users will this be sucking into Facebook's shadow profiles? How are you going to monetize this unwittingly supplied information?

You guys really need to rethink your strategy. $1500 is Apple territory and Facebook is no Apple.
