These are all euphemisms for SOFTWARE. ☑️ 'Apps' usually refer to software designed for human end users on desktop, web browser, or mobile. ☑️ 'Platforms' suggest a broader base of functionality, enabling other software to be built upon or integrate with them via APIs, SDKs, webhooks & friends. ☑️ 'Tools' typically refer to software that provides utility or helps perform tasks, often used in the context of productivity, creative, or development software. ☑️ 'Products' focuses on the commercial aspect. There is a simple process I apply every time I'm stuck. That's how I became better at building and growing a SaaS business over time. And you can apply it too! The rule 1 is to learn only what you're struggling with NOW. Don't pay attention to things you'll have to handle in the future. If you're struggling to get SaaS ideas, don't try to learn how to get users. Priority to what you need to solve at the moment. Here is the process you can follow: 1. Find what you struggle with (getting users, finding ideas, etc) 2. Find people who managed to do it, read their content 3. Contact them and try to have a call or ask your questions. 4. Find books about this topic, buy them and read them 4 steps that can take time based on your current problem (and the more specific your problem is, the faster you'll solve it) For example, instead of "I don't know how to get users" you can go with "I don't know how to get users for my Shopify App from the Shopify App Store". It makes it easier to find what you need.
