As we enter the 2nd day of National Diabetes Awareness month, Vault Bioventures reflects on past impactful initiatives. In 2017, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) put forth an evocative campaign that celebrated the resilience and tenacity of those touched by diabetes. Their poignant message: "There is a hero in him. There is one in you, too." The campaign brought to light the alarming statistic that 1 in 11 Americans lives with diabetes, emphasizing the urgency of the issue. ADA's clarion call was for collective support at both federal and local levels to bolster access to healthcare and ensure the rights of those battling with this condition. The association provided a platform for advocacy, encouraging individuals to be the change-makers. But what truly set this campaign apart was its personal touch. The ADA urged individuals to write a letter to Diabetes, encapsulating their feelings, experiences, and hopes. Whether through written words, videos, or audio messages, the call was to share these stories with the world using the hashtag #DearDiabetes, creating a ripple effect of awareness and solidarity. Moreover, the campaign highlighted the gravity of the situation - every 21 seconds, someone is diagnosed with diabetes. To combat this, the ADA championed research, education, and prevention, calling upon the community to donate and support their mission. 🎗️💙 #AmericanDiabetesMonth #ADA #Awareness #LookBack #UnitedAgainstDiabetes #VaultBioventures #Diabetes

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. It's a call to action, an invitation for all of us to unite and make a difference. 37.3 million Americans, or 11.3% of the population, have diabetes, and 96 million Americans age 18 and older are prediabetic. Together, we stand to raise awareness, not only about diabetes itself but also about the importance of early detection. Early detection can be a lifeline, significantly improving the chances of successful treatment and prevention. So let's share knowledge, resources, and stories that encourage screenings and healthy living. Let's use our platforms and voices to spread the message far and wide. Together, we can make a real impact and save lives. SPRIM PRO believes that together we can help to develop innovative clinical solutions and therapies to prevent, diagnose earlier, treat more effectively and attenuate the progression of diabetes. https://diabetes.org #DiabetesAwarenessMonth #EarlyDetection #DiabetesStatistics #HealthForAll #RaiseAwareness #PreventionMatters
