I used to read 60-80 books per year📚 Sales, leadership, investing, etc. I'd fly through these books... And it was cool to tell others how many I've read.. BUT the truth was... I retained VERY LITTLE. AND I applied EVEN LESS.   I had bought into the "consumption culture."   Consuming books.   Podcasts.   Articles.   Blogs.   Etc.   So I made a shift.   I reduced my consumption drastically.   And focused 100% on applying.   The first 6 months I made this shift:   My net worth increased 25%📈   (I was reading investing books at the time)   I've maintained that shift ever since.   So if you are a big book reader or content consumer...   I recommend you make the shift too.   Go from a "consumer of content" to an "attitude of action"   I bet you'll see your results skyrocket too🚀

I know, this isn't a new book hot 🔥 off the shelves... But it's the first professional development book I read in my 20s that had a major impact on how I approach work and life. 💡 Here were my key takeaways: 🔑 Crafting a personal vision is the first step to keeping first things first. Doing vision work led me to lead with importance over urgency, move to Colorado, and become a business owner. 🔑 Categorizing work into the Time Management Matrix (urgency vs. importance) has built a long-lasting habit that I still use today. 🔑 Weekly planning is now engrained in me. I spend at least 30 minutes each week planning out the important stuff first and blocking off my calendar to create space. What were your key takeaways from this book?
