April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. BSA President & CEO Roger Krone discusses the BSA’s ongoing commitment to abuse prevention.
I am honored to be part of the BSA's Youth Protection Committee, where our paramount duty is ensuring the safety of every child involved. Safeguarding youth is not just a task; it's a continuous commitment at all levels of the BSA. Every month, every week, every day, and every moment, we all must be steadfast in our vigilance to create a secure environment for all scouts. Get Youth Protection trained, and if you witness or suspect abuse or neglect - report.
Thank you. As a dad as a Boy Scout, this message means so much. I feel like my son is truly protected and safe in his Troop, which is Troop 8 in Jackson, Mississippi.
Thank you for finally pointing this out. As a scouter we are better trained than most organizations. 2-deep two adults two youths always!!!
Accomplished action done.
Honored to be an Eagle Scout when I see the BSA posting things like this. As a scout and an SPL I had always strived to protect my former troop as my own, which is what Mr. Krone is doing here. Good on you and thank you for pushing this organization forward sir.
Every month should be child abuse prevention month.
Powerful message - Every month is child protection month!
