We’re unlocking new mission possibilities with the US Navy's first #XLUUV. 🔓 The Orca Extra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV) is a new class of autonomous submarine that can perform long-duration critical missions in contested and changing waters. XL means more room for additional capabilities — with a payload capacity of 2,456 cubic feet, the Orca XLUUV can carry 48 small diameter UUVs or 115 UAVs. And its modular design allows for continuous upgrades, keeping it at the forefront of technology. Not all XLUUVs are created equal. PEO USC
Tell Dallas to launch the DSRV.
Hope doors don’t fall off while under water…
Shout out to Georgia Tech Graduate and Boeing DoD CEO Ted Colbert Boeing is doing amazing DoD work. If I was going to order one (and I would like to) it would absolutely be in Xtra Large. Ted would like you to send some of Boeing’s new R&D submarine construction down to St. Marys Kings Bay Nuclear Submarine Base. Your Georgia Tech Morehouse alumni would love to help you and we have existing work force and supply chain in both Nuclear and Hydrogen. Keep us safe and keep the good stuff coming. Great job Ted proud of you.
Exciting advancements! The Orca XLUUV's capabilities are impressive, paving the way for new mission opportunities in challenging environments.
This is very impressive considering the scale of this vehicle and how it is all operated without any humans on board. I wonder how long is considered "long-duration" especially in challenging waters?
An underwater starliner? 🤔
Innovative, versatile, and highly adaptable.
I hope the quality is better than the 737....
I hope Boeing does a better job testing and training than on the 737 MAX
Sigh 😔 More ways to kill each other 😳😢
