Adding a little more Global Reach to the U.S. Army's fleet of Chinooks 😉 #teamboeing #aviation #VTOLSociety
A great testimony to a great aircraft. It ranks up there with the C-47, B-52, and the 707.
Not sure where the helicopters are repaired but jets and the C-130 usually gets some major maintenance every 7 to 9 years. We did several improvements to the process with the help of the younger government engineers.
Chinook has been great transportation carrier of all times. #aviation #usarmy #people #cybercraftz

4wOne of my sister's husbands once told me he was the helicopter gunner in Vietnam for picking up wounded, said the snipers would not shoot at him because his gun could dispense 100 bullets a second for 3 to 4 minutes before overheating.( just like the game?) Not like TV where a person with a pistol chases a guy with a machine gun, the snipers were too smart to shoot at a helicopter that had that much firepower. He said they waited until he left with the wounded.
