Looking for a venue for your event but need some tips on choosing the best option? ✨ Don't stress! Here are 3 key factors to consider: 📍 Guest List & Location: ️How many people are coming? Where are most of them traveling from and what is the ratio of out of town guests vs locals? Choose a venue that's accessible and convenient for your attendees from a transportation perspective and make sure to scout out nearby hotels if overnight accommodations are required. 🎵 Event Vibe & Space: Is it a formal gala or a casual meetup? The venue's ambiance should match the event's tone. Consider the space - do you need room for a dance floor or a stage? In the case of bad weather, will the outdoor space require tenting? Almost every wedding we do is at a venue we have not executed a wedding at before. Although there are inherent learning curves, it is often our favorite task to understand a venue and maximize the potential for #cbkcouples ✨ When considering a venue it is key to take a look at the actual inclusions as no two venues are alike. Not all venues provide bar service, cutlery, beautiful Chivari chairs, or house sound within the rental fee. That’s why you hire a #weddingbff like us to read the fine print and get the holistic picture of what is being offered so you can plan and budget accordingly. Did you get this advice when planning an event? “Catering is where to save money” “DIY everything and save money” “Don’t so assigned seating. Let everyone sit wherever you want” There are definitely ways to save on your wedding, but those are not necessarily it. Your caterer is one of the main wedding elements, and your guests have spent time and money to attend your wedding. You can choose a menu within your budget, but don’t skimp on food. Instead you can reduce your guest count or adjust some decor elements. DIY is not always cheaper. Consider your supply cost as well as the time of putting it all together. And don’t forget the trial and error, wasted time, and replacing supplies. If you truly want to enjoy your wedding day, you cannot be running around setting up everything yourself. Having open seating will often leave your close family members and wedding party scattered around the room too far from you. It might also create an awkward setting between guests and leave empty odd seats on your tables.
