“Regional grocers offer a richer customer experience than national competitors in some areas” and most regional retailers offer two hour or less express delivery vs 34% of national grocers. While Kroger & Albertsons seem intent on moving full steam ahead on a merger that would create the 3rd largest national grocery chain, trends in online shopping point towards regional retailers.
