As we welcome a new fiscal year, I wanted to share an exciting opportunity for all federal employees. GSA’s 10x program (10x.gsa.gov) is ready to announce our new investment priorities: Reimagining Public Engagement and Equity in Delivery (https://lnkd.in/gPXRQNjj).    10x exclusively sources ideas from federal employees across the government on ways we can use technology to better serve the public. While we regularly receive hundreds of ideas, we select the best 20 for our in-house technology experts to research and develop potential new service offerings. Previous 10x investments have resulted in successful products like Login.gov, the US Web Design System, and the De-Risking Government Technology Field Guides. All federal employees are eligible to submit ideas and the barrier for entry is low: submissions only need to be a few sentences long. Feds can submit ideas through our submission form until 11:59pm November 30. This year, we’re also looking for, what we’re calling, Moonshot ideas. These are the biggest, boldest, most ambitious, and transformative ideas that you can imagine. They are breakthrough projects that could solve notoriously thorny government tech problems, or seize on incredible opportunities to make a difference. They don’t necessarily need to align with our investment priorities, but, the one thing that all Moonshot ideas have in common? They always excite anyone who hears about them. Leading up to that deadline, the 10x team is happy to speak with federal employees interested in learning more. We are also excited to offer the opportunity to partake in an Ideation Workshop which will help you learn how to write a successful 10x idea. 📆 Tomorrow marks the launch of "FutureTech: Creating Tomorrow Today," the inaugural event in a series of quarterly FutureTech meetings. Here, government and business representatives will outline a strategic scenario for the development of the technology industry, which is desirable but realistic. In 2024, Diia.City United, in collaboration with The Ministry of Digital Transformation , surveyed owners and CEOs of companies — current and potential residents of Diia City. The findings underscored key priorities of the residents, including the need to eliminate the shortcomings of the tax legislation, address the issues of employers' transparent reservation and make changes to the legislation regarding the expansion of the Diia City space. Effectively addressing these issues requires a robust and constructive dialogue between businesses and the government. To facilitate such dialogue, Diia.City United has launched a series of events aimed at bringing together Diia City's current and potential residents, alongside thought leaders and government representatives. ❗ While the registration for the event is now fully booked, we value your interest. 20 years of service + pain + failure + a few triumphs = The "Auxesys Thesis": 1. Small professional services firms are the backbone of our Canadian socio-economic system. In the modern era, these firms:    a) have traditionally struggled with digital marketing and IT and especially, coordination between digital marketing and IT;    b) are increasingly under threat from tech giants, larger firms, and SaaS/AI alternatives (but could easily compete more fiercely, if they could just solve their marketing and IT problems…); and, c) have been reluctant to leverage the “gig economy”, but could definitely benefit from doing so - so long as a solution was “professionalized” sufficiently (enter, Auxesys).   2. Digital marketing and IT are increasingly interdependent - having a marketing agency and IT firm continually bash heads (over things like DNS) slows things down, crosses wires, drives up waste, and reduces value - it makes sense to combine these forces.
