Thanks to Battelle, Girl Scouts can enjoy Camp Ken-Jockety in a new, interactive way! Battelle has awarded us a Central Ohio STEM Grant that will fund our exciting new Interactive Ecosystem Exploration Project. This project is centered around the development of an app that will help girls, youth, staff and visitors better understand the natural resources at Camp Ken-Jockety and how we can preserve and protect the environment. We will use the data to teach youth how to be better environmental stewards and the impact they can have on the larger ecosystem, and we will develop curriculum for a Battelle ecosystem exploration patch. Thank you, Battelle, for supporting this innovative opportunity! Battelle Environmental Scientist Morgan Evans is a source for the story. She said the technologies for this recycling and upcycling face challenges between bench scale models and pilot reaction.
