Skills Development Warrior: bridging the gap between regulatory skills development, organisational strategy, and the workforce.
Take the time to watch this. Might help you realign your priorities. #worklifebalancematters
What matters most? This weekend was the Wimbledon Men's Tennis Final. The match was between the reigning champion, Novak Djokavic and the current world number 1, and young challenger, Carlos Alcaraz. In my family, it's my wife who follows tennis. Everything I know is because of her. But I thoroughly enjoyed this game — it was an absolute tour de force, pushing the limits of two incredible fighters. Two lions roaring at each other and fighting for leadership, for nearly 5 hours. Rivetting. However, even with it being such an entertaining match, what struck me the most was Novak's post-match interview. I've collected a few clips for you to watch. And I offer my thoughts as to what Novak really values in his life. I think there are some valuable lessons for us all. I hope you enjoy :) #family #familyfirst #tennis #atp #worklifebalance #priorities

‘I was repeating to myself - point by point.’ - Jasmine Paolilni. Tiebreaks can feel harsh… The penalty shootout of a tennis match. Two players, having battled for hours, step up to decide who plays a Wimbledon final. One point win can feel like a huge boost, while one lost can feel like a bad slip. In this scenario, paying attention to the context can be disastrous. ‘If I win this I am in the final’…. ‘I am X points away from the final’… By focusing on each individual point, players can avoid the overwhelming pressure of the match's broader context. A point-by-point approach allows players to stay adaptable and responsive. Momentum can shift rapidly, and the ability to stay present and adjust as necessary can make the difference between victory and defeat. #tennis #wimbledon #mindset #shiftingfocus
