It’s been ten months since I decided to take a career break, but surprisingly, I couldn't stay away for too long! This time allowed me to slow down, reflect, and think about what truly matters to me in every aspect of my life. One thing that became even clearer to me is that success is all about the relationships we build. I was able to travel, reconnect with old friends, and meet some amazing new people, who I felt compelled to keep spending time with, and ultimately decided to shorten my intended sabbatical. As I thought about my next steps, I realized that I wanted to create something new, rooted in people, trust, and design. I wanted something different from what I had done before, and most importantly, I wanted to work with people I could call friends in no time. After connecting with Michael Machado, Ahmed Bashir, Dheeraj Pandey, and Manoj Agarwal, I enthusiastically accepted the Head of Design role at DevRev, where I'll be leading Product Design, Marcom, and User Research. I'm known for taking chances and for being a relentless optimist who always hopes for the best for everyone. Now, it's time for the amazing team at DevRev and me to create something new. We're so thrilled to establish this as a design-first organization! I'm quickly settling into my new surroundings, and I'm already on the lookout for three experienced designers – two Product Designers and one MarCom Designer – to join me in building this beloved new organization and brand.
