Yesterday, our colleagues Marilys CORDIER, Loubna Azzaoui and Manon Perrot had the incredible opportunity to take part in the Course des Héros 🏃♂️ thanks to ALTEN. It was an enriching and emotional experience, where they were able to merge the spirit of sport with #solidarity 💪. We are particularly proud that our teammates ran in support of the association "Dunes d'espoir", which works tirelessly to bring joy and hope to children with disabilities during races. Their dedicated commitment is truly inspiring! 🌟 Our sincere thanks to #ALTEN for this wonderful initiative! Together, we can create meaningful change! 🌍✨ #CourseDesHeros #DuneDespoir #TeamWork #Commitment

One of the main goals of our CSR For Parasport project is to make good practices related to the investment in parasport visible to the general public. Please welcome our fourth and final summary of good practices, which comes from SLOVAKIA! 22 parasports are present in Slovakia, including team sports, which require strong partners, also from the business side. Kaufland significantly supports para-hockey, which is an emerging team sport in Slovakia, also in the para division. For even more good practices watch the video at the following link: https://lnkd.in/dzt2g_cf #csrforparasport Institut za društveno odgovorno poslovanje - The Croatian Institute for CSR Magyar Paralimpiai Csapat Paraolimpijac Šport invalidov Slovenský paralympijský výbor #csr #csr4parasport #parasport #inclusivity #inclusive #equality #integrity *Funded by the European Union. For the past two weeks, the Kenya Paralympic sitting volleyball team has been training in preparation for the upcoming world Paralympic qualifiers at Kasarani Gymnasium. The players hope to be fit and in good shape to face various teams across the continent in November. Paralympic sports can be used as a tool for disability inclusion through various strategies and initiatives that help promote understanding, respect, and equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The sport provides a platform to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions about people with disabilities (PWDs). By showcasing the incredible athletic abilities of Paralympic athletes, society's perception of what individuals with disabilities can achieve is broadened. It therefore offers an opportunity to educate the public about various types of disabilities and the challenges individuals face. Promoting awareness and understanding can help reduce stigma, and discrimination and support inclusive participation. Local sports programs, schools, and communities can organize adaptive sports events, allowing PWDs to engage in physical activities alongside their able-bodied peers. Overall, using Paralympic sports to support disability inclusion requires a multi-faceted approach that encompasses societal attitudes, policies, education, and accessibility. It's about creating an environment where individuals with disabilities can thrive, contribute, and be valued.

Well Channel 4 has done it again - resetting the bar in #authenticrepresentation and digging into the harmful tropes that keep parasport (and disability in general) from achieving parity with the Olympics. I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Channel 4 and their efforts to mainstream disability in all of their programming. This is an example to follow for any company that is truly invested in disability inclusion - there is no summit of this mountain, no end of the road. No 100% scores and no perfection. Disability inclusion in business is, like any other go-to-market strategy, an exercise in humility and constant progress. Brands such as Channel 4 who are able to recognise the improvements they can make and act upon them - and own that imperfection - should be celebrated. Accountability and transparency cultivate trust and recognition within the #disabilitycommunity. #disabilityinclusion the Valuable 500

Accessibility and Inclusion isn't always about big organisations making huge changes. Sometimes it is individuals doing small things to bring happiness. So much love and respect for Ricardo and Skate Anima. #accessibility #AccessibilityInclusion #inclusion #disability #DisabilityInclusion

Really good interview in #TheGuardian with my friend and successor but one as ParalympicsGB CEO. David Clarke OBE, PLY is ideally placed now to lead this greater activism. In 2012 we adopted the vision "through sport, inspire a better world for disabled people." The initial focus was on the sport and the athletes and their ability not just to inspire but challenge perceptions of disability. A decade on the confidence we have in that provides the platform for a more challenging agenda. How can we as society move beyond empathy and genuinely pursue inclusion in a way that enables rather than accommodates? https://lnkd.in/gCV82s-P
