In India, parents have always thought that #videogames today are a complete waste of time and doesn't helps in any manner. Reality is that however video games as per numerous studies have found to be very beneficial for the younger generation in many ways. For instance, it has helped developed a community that strongly discusses in detail about the latest happenings in the industry on social media platforms like Discord, Reddit, Inc. and have facilitated healthy decisions forcing major businesses to revert their announcements that were #anticonsumer in nature. For example, when #helldivers2 game published by Sony Interactive Entertainment required users on #PC to have a #PSN account for logging in to the game. Discussions started happening all over the internet that how PSN was not available in more than 100 countries thereby limiting the number of players that could play the game. Eventually, PlayStation was forced to change their decision and they had to release a statement when the situation was getting worse with the players supported by the developer were posting negative reviews about the game on #Steam. Another interesting way video games have helped the young people is by titles such as Assassin's Creed teaching us about the rich cultures and history of countries like Egypt, England, Iraq and to name just a few. This perfect nuisance of technology and history have enabled the younger generation to take keen interest in the subject they hate the most. Moreover, #AssassinsCreed franchise recently used as a reference by the country of #France to restore one of their popular monument called the #NotreDameCathedral that was almost destroyed by a major fire thanks to the latest innovations in the field of technology such as #3Dprinting. To conclude, it is not surprising that certain hobbies in the past took time to be recognized as respected talents by the society and gaming is not a complete stranger which as a field has slowly started getting the same recognition that others have in the past. Just hop into your Instagram and see the number of daily posts that show up on your feed regarding this field just like you get updates about politics, for example.
