Many organisations are growing superficially…. Over focussing on acquiring new customers and under focussing on retaining customers. So it’s like pouring water into a leaky bucket. This is often driven by pressure from shareholders and investors on the CEO to drive growth in the short term which pushes companies to become more focussed on the acquisition of new customers, because it looks better on paper. The most successful companies over the long term, have a balance. Apple is a perfect example, they have such a great brand and customer experience they barely need to advertise. When they notify their enormous customer database of new products launches, they line up outside their stores, enough said. Zara the clothing brand is another great example who have such a strong brand that they do very minimal advertising. They both are working from the strategy that keeping customers happy is key to sustainable growth.

Billions in sale, no customer support? 😐 I don't get it. I've always been into lifestyle brands. I actually applied for e-commerce director at LVMH, got rejected though. I still know what I would try to fix, in case they call me one day. Their support. I don't get why all these high end brands don't do more. I tried to buy from one of them, horrible experience. No answers in month, took me 2 months to get my money back. They don't respect the most important thing in e-commerce and long term branding; Their customers. If I were a upcoming high-end fashion brand this would be my bet; Do better customer support. Be more, do more, go further. Right now the others don't do anything. Did I miss something here? However, the way they chose to thank their hardworking employees has sparked outrage and disappointment among staff. 🎉 Big Milestone, Small Gesture The beauty giant sent out cookies to some stores with a note celebrating the achievement. The treats, however, were described as "stale" and were accompanied by a confidentiality warning. 😟 Employee Discontent Employees, feeling underappreciated, voiced their frustrations online: "They always push us to meet high goals, and all we get is a stale cookie," said one former employee. "It's clear they're not listening to us," added another. 📉 Reaction on Social Media The gesture quickly became a point of ridicule: Reddit users dubbed it the "infamous cookie," with one rating it 4 out of 10. Others felt devalued, with comments comparing the recognition to "dirt on the bottom of their shoes." Sephora's Statement The company emphasized their pride in their employees and listed various benefits and perks. However, it remains unclear if additional compensation was provided for reaching the milestone. Bottom Line This was a really DUMB move on Sephora's behalf! Teamwork makes the dreamwork and the Sephora employees should have been properly recognized for their accomplishments!
