I was thinking today about some of my favorite projects over the last few years, projects that that stand out for being both enjoyable, and importantly, effective for the client based on their goals.   While I love writing in the healthcare and ecommerce niches, I’m also super excited when I get to work with creative business builders.   One of my favorite projects in that niche was writing a landing page + email welcome/nurture sequence for a photographer whose goal was to get more client inquiries and booked projects.   But first, we had to figure out what the key barrier to hiring her was, then we used the email sequence to break that down and do some myth-busting around the topic.   The challenge: As a boudoir photographer, the problem wasn’t my client’s talents, skills, or experience as a photographer, it was something much deeper:   👉 In most cases, it was the beliefs the women who wanted to book a session held about how they needed to look to get flattering shots. 👈   We knew we needed to address those beliefs in a persuasive, yet supportive way, for my client to get more email subscribers, and ultimately, more clients.   Spoiler alert: it worked. 😊   ✨I wrote up a mini-case study about the experience with more details, sharing it here (link in comments) for anyone with a service-based business who wants to use email to nurture and convert potential clients. ✨

First off, LinkedIn you have way too many hidden settings for users (#jobseekers and hiring companies). Not sure if this is true, but when I saw this it made so much sense why many job seekers are complaining about LinkedIn postings and #rejections. At the same time, ironically, there also seems to be some needed settings missing. You really need to overhaul your privacy and user settings options. #linkedin #automation

Why are you getting rejection emails 📨 after applying for so many jobs on #LinkedIN ? Digging deeper, I found two main automation settings: Location-based filtering (which, frustratingly, can't be changed). 2 Screening question criteria, where failing to meet the minimum requirements instantly labels you as "not a fit" (though this can be toggled). While these settings might streamline the hiring process, they also introduce a barrier that could unfairly disqualify potential talent. While hiring for a #videographer in #NYC, I stumbled upon a curious automation feature on #LinkedIn. Despite not personally rejecting any job. several were labeled "not a fit" by the system. under your job title. Turns out, LinkedIn's default settings automatically filter out applicants based on certain criteria, such as location. I was like well what other... ???
