I know it's a bit late but here's what happened in 2023 for me! 🚀 Reflecting on 2023: A Year of Professional Growth 🌱 As I bid farewell to 2023, I can't help but appreciate the incredible journey of professional development it brought my way. 🌟 Here's a snapshot of some key milestones: 1. Expanding Network and Mentorship:   - 🤝 Established valuable connections   - 🧠 Gained insights from industry mentors 6. Skill Mastery and Capstone Projects:   - 🛠️ Acquired new skills   - 🏆 Successfully completed two significant capstone projects As I kick off my journey for 2024, I have started the year as an Intern at Teladoc Health. Excited for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for 2024! 💼✨

My 5 Gold medals: 1) Getting in Copenhagen Business School 2) My internship spot at Novo Nordisk 3) Being offered a job at Google 4) Playing rugby for Denmark 5) Being promoted at Uber But as I didn’t feel good enough without them… I never felt good enough with them. Attaching your self-worth to achievements is a dangerous game. One that will leave you feeling empty, lonely and unfulfilled. Remember: Being enough doesn’t mean losing ambition. It means having strong roots so you can grow and expand from a stable place. Years back, at an intern orientation program, a top exec once shared something that stuck with me: “You’re really lucky to be here. From today until the end of your life, whatever happens to you, it’s highly likely that you will live a more privileged life than most other people on this planet. Most people won’t get the chances you have. So, be kind, be thankful, and help out where you can. Sure, you’ll hit some bumps and maybe stumble, but you’re on a track many can only dream of. Don’t forget to give back.” So, when things don’t go as planned (rest assured, many won’t) in your career or studies or life, don’t lose heart. Keep giving your best and stay hopeful. And remember to give back to society—whether through research that lays the groundwork for future breakthroughs, through your dedicated efforts that lead your team or organization to success, by helping out a friend or relative in need, or simply by showing kindness to others, thereby preserving the essence of our humanity. Good things will come in time.

Hosting a newly graduated IT Intern can be a rewarding experience for not only you and your business but can also be life changing for these young professionals.

[They finally mustered up the courage to invite me to lunch] - Recently, I had the pleasure of engaging with three of our project interns: Jia Sheng, Ee Hang, and Ryan. Interestingly, they're only a few years older than my eldest son. I admire their initiative in seizing the opportunity to ask questions and engage in meaningful conversation. One of the first questions they posed was about the pursuit of advanced degrees like a Master's or even a PhD. I shared my perspective that while such degrees can indeed open doors, it's ultimately how one applies their skills and knowledge that matters most. Personally, I believe pursuing further education is valuable if the opportunity arises, especially if financial concerns are not a barrier. Our conversation also touched on the challenges faced by the new generation, a topic that hits close to home as a parent myself. I expressed my concerns about how the comforts of modern life may inadvertently impact their resilience and drive. It's something I believe many of us parents grapple with – we may inadvertently contribute to this by being overly protective of our children. Our conversation also touched on the journey from a junior professional to a managerial role, highlighting the gap in our education system. While theoretical knowledge is important, essential soft skills such as communication, leadership, and collaboration often lacks. As individuals progress in their careers, these soft skills become increasingly crucial in distinguishing one's managerial capabilities I was delighted to learn that the interns thoroughly enjoyed their time with us, especially during the festive celebrations and fun activities - kudos to our HR and organizing committee team members. From Christmas and New Year festivities to sports days and our annual dinner, these experiences not only provided valuable technical exposure but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and enjoyment among the team. It's my hope that by sharing these thoughts, I can provide guidance and assistance to students and young professionals alike. Ending the year with some reflections and learnings that I'll undoubtedly appreciate looking back on with gratitude. 1. Made friends, lost a few friends, reconnected with old friends. 2. Explored a dream destination and reveled in the joy of witnessing my first snowfall.  3. Engaged in an enriching offline internship, reaping both financial rewards and heartfelt gifts for my loved ones out of it. 4. Received a truly precious and emotional gift, creating lasting memories. 5. Cherished college to the fullest. 6. Actively participated in the best college fest and vibed to a live concert experience. 7. Switched to better habits and schedules. 8. Recognized the tangible rewards of hard work and experienced the real-life impact of the power of manifestation. 9. Most importantly, navigated through a year filled with emotional turbulence, bad health, highs and lows, and moments of sheer happiness. 10. As I stepped into my twenties, I saw myself grow :)

INTERNS ARE OUR NEXT TURN 🌟🎓   There’s a person in the team or more that we too often overlook. Our interns are our force of freshness. With energy and ambition, and the biggest dreams of us all. In our agency worlds, it is on us to grow their creativity and make their dreams even bigger. To understand their insights, nurture their creativity and amplify their aspirations.   It’s our work to help them make their futures gold. In our group of creative companies, our grads have a daily note and on it, they say: ‘Cos if you didn’t know, now you know.’ That’s exactly the point. We don’t know anything about the generations down the road so we need to get to know them and really listen to their ideas.

Now that Labor Day (often considered the unofficial end of summer) has come and gone, it's the perfect moment to reflect on what a productive summer we've experienced. From the exchange of innovative ideas to the collective teamwork that has allowed us to reach our goals, Summer 2023 has been a resounding success!
