🎉 Weekly Wrap - Achievement 🎉 As we head into the weekend, take a moment to reflect on your achievements this week. For me, it has been an amazing week filled with growth opportunities and challenges. Driving to London for the TDT Event, which was a huge success, despite a train strike. The rest of the week was spent talking with education leaders about ONVU Learning and empowering teachers. As the quote goes, stepping out of our comfort zones and challenging existing habits is key to individual growth and success. On a personal note, I completed dry January this week and haven't had a drop of alcohol. It feels great to be motivated, focused, and determined. My perspective on alcohol has changed, and interestingly, I'm not overly bothered about having "a drink." My takeaway from this week is that a sense of achievement comes from challenging ourselves and actively seeking growth opportunities. What gives you a sense of achievement? How does it feel? Coming up at our annual conference on Thursday, February 29: Career Connected, Life Ready: Supporting Student Success by Leveraging State Frameworks This session will highlight how making intentional choices in placing students in college and career groups, working with them to make college and career selections, and expanding outreach to parents and families in meaningful ways all equals success toward being career-connected and life-ready. Speakers will discuss the value of understanding the purpose and goals of college and career groups and having strategies in place to implement them, using the PaCE framework and the College and Career Readiness Indicator. Learn how to establish guidelines for career coaches, recognizing that a single guidance counselor cannot establish a collaborative relationship with all of a school’s students and their parents. Speakers will address using small career coaching groups to individualize the needs of students, motivate college and career readiness, foster a college and career-connected culture, and engage the family and community.
