Today, his role involves more than traditional sales – he's primarily responsible for managing customer relationships. Lauri has been with Fazer for 4 years now. 💼 Originally from Imatra, Finland, Lauri's work now takes him across Asia. ” What fascinates me in Asia is the cultures, and of course the business potential. Travels to different parts of Asia have not only brought business opportunities but also unforgettable cultural experiences", Lauri shares. In the Asian markets, Lauri steers conversations almost entirely towards oats.🌾 He engages in weekly discussions with clients in Japan, Korea, China, and Malaysia. The global non-dairy megatrend has solidified oats' position in the market. People worldwide seek alternatives to meat and dairy, and new options for a healthy breakfast. “Most of the Fazer oats I sell end up in Asian manufacturers' oat drinks or breakfast products like muesli and granola," Lauri continues. Lauri himself enjoys his oatmeal as fresh, not cooked, as Finns normally do. 🥣 During his free time, Lauri dedicates each season to one of his sports passions. In summer, he immerses himself in the world of skydiving, and in winter, he heads to the slopes for skiing. "For me, skydiving is mainly about developing skills. With 2024 being the year of the Wood Dragon, it provides an ideal opportunity to showcase the impact oak casks have on maturing whisky in terms of flavour, and how important wood is to the overall whisky-making process. I was at Melbourne. For a business meeting. I managed to do hop onto a Gin Distillery Tour at Four Pillars Gin. Been a fan of the gin since my first sip. I received one as a gift years ago. Watched a documentary on the founding before. Since then, I thought it would be nice to pop by and have a look. The brand name, along with her iconic “four dots” represent the brand’s four key pillars: A quality still. Top-notch botanicals. Pristine water from the Yarra Valley. And love. Their success was largely due to the power of branding and marketing. Well, the narratives were charming. Still, it’s good gin. They are the first gin distillery to achieve carbon neutrality in Australia — on both product certification and organisation certification. Which means every bottle of gin is carbon neutral and as a business, Four Pillars has managed to bring their carbon emissions down to zero. Four Pillars was founded in 2013. Lion Group, a subsidiary of Japanese alcohol giant Kirin, has acquired the business for 50 million in 2023. Four years after owning half of the business for 40 million in 2019. They have so many variants now. I returned with a bottle of highly sought after “Bloody Shiraz”, and an iconic “Not Gin” bottle.
