Early access to additional C-band #spectrum allows #Verizon to more quickly expand and enhance its #5G #network #nationwide, create more #capacity, open new home #internet markets and improve #performance. “Early access to the remainder of the C-band spectrum puts us another four months ahead of schedule from our original projections. I recently came across an unusual news story regarding the UK operator 3. In 2023, their 5G outdoor coverage stood at 60%. However, after implementing Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS) in the 4G sub-6GHz spectrum, they claimed that coverage increased to 78%. Strangely, they admitted that the 18% coverage boosted by DSS did not deliver a comparable 4G experience to 5G users. I'm guessing that 3 was aware of this discrepancy beforehand but proceeded with the cheaper option to meet OfCom's coverage requirements.
