Embracing freedom, unity, and the enduring spirit of resilience, we celebrate Juneteenth with gratitude and reverence. At Accede Solutions Inc (accedesol.com), we honor this pivotal day, marking the end of slavery in America and recognizing the journey towards true liberty and justice for all. On June 19, 1865, nearly two years after President Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation, Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas with news of freedom, liberating over 250,000 African Americans in what became known as Juneteenth or Freedom Day. This day symbolizes the principles of self-determination, citizenship, and democracy. On June 17, 2021, President Joe Biden signed a bill making Juneteenth the eleventh American federal holiday, the first new federal holiday since Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 1983. Join us in commemorating this significant milestone in American history and let's continue to build a future rooted in equality, understanding, and hope. #Juneteenth #FreedomDay #Juneteenth2024 #liberationday #AccedeSolutions #UnityInDiversity #equality #staffinagency #MinorityOwned #staffing #blackculture #WomenOwnedBusiness #DEI #DiversityandInclusion #SmallBusiness #jobs #recruitment #socialequality #ClientServices #Jobsearch #extendedworkforce #contingentlabor #talentacquisition

Happy Juneteenth! Today marks a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing quest for equality. 🌍✊ The Emancipation Proclamation outlawed slavery in the U.S. in 1863. While Confederate states initially resisted, it wasn't until June 19, 1865, that Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, delivering the news of freedom to all enslaved individuals. This historical milestone led to the official proclamation of Emancipation Day in Texas in 1938. Texas went on to become the first state to establish Juneteenth as a state holiday in 1980. Juneteenth was officially recognized as a federal holiday in 2021. It became the first new federal holiday since Martin Luther King Jr. Day was adopted in 1983. As we commemorate this important day, let's reflect on our shared history and responsibility. Let's pledge to actively cultivate inclusivity in our workplaces and communities. And let's work together towards a future where diversity flourishes and opportunities abound for all. #Juneteenth #Freedom #Inclusivity #Equality #InspireChange #DEI

Today the United States celebrates Juneteenth. This 159-year observance recognizes the announcement by Union troops in the western most Confederate state of Texas that enslaved Black people in this territory were free by executive decree. While Juneteenth celebrations come together in recognition of what’s known as America’s second Independence Day, we want to highlight the importance of community. Without strong interpersonal relationships, fostered connection, and teamwork, we cannot achieve the crucial work that needs to be done to achieve racial equity, justice, and well-being. ETR is closed today for this observance, but when we get back to work, we will continue to fight for our vision—a world where all individuals and communities achieve their best health. On this day, take some time to learn more about Juneteenth from the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture. Juneteenth marks a significant milestone in American history, symbolizing the end of slavery. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, delivering the news that all enslaved individuals were finally free, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. Although Juneteenth has been celebrated for generations, it wasn't until 2021 that it became a federally recognized holiday. It is also referred to as Emancipation Day, Day of Jubilee, Freedom Day, Black Independence Day, and our Country's Second Independence. Divide & conquer by pitting groups against each other is an effective strategy for maintaining control. It protects the status quo. Non-Black POC against Blacks; Immigrants against Blacks; Blacks against Blacks (go figure!) The common denominator? anti-Blackness. Interesting article about how non-Black immigrants are complicit in the racial order - with Blacks on bottom. Sadly, there is widespread anti-Blackness. It’s why I’m not surprised to see Blacks over-represented at bottom levels in most organizations. I remain hopeful that true allies will come to learn the truth about American history and acknowledge the anti-Blackness that continues to exist so we can root it out. “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” We are one house. Isn’t it time to unite? We can all win. #antiblackness #uncomfortabletruth #racismrunsdeep #history #allGodschildren

On June 19, 1865, Union troops announced the end of slavery in Texas, marking the final liberation of enslaved African Americans in the USA. Today, we commemorate the end of slavery and celebrate the resilience of Black communities, reflecting on their enduring spirit in the face of oppression and their invaluable contributions to shaping our nation's history. Young American actress and activist Yara Shahidi reminds us, "Instead of inheriting a broken system, we have the power to change it.” As we honor this struggle for liberation and continue the fight against injustice, Shahidi's words resonate deeply, urging us to recognize our responsibility in reshaping the structures perpetuating inequality. At EPI, we believe in universal respect for mankind, and on Juneteenth we recommit ourselves to the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice for all, amplifying marginalized voices and fostering inclusive communities where everyone can thrive regardless of race, gender, or background. Let's honor this day in celebration and action, ensuring that the promise of freedom and equality extends to all. Learn more about EPI's mission at: https://TeachWithEPI.com
